There seems to be differing views about LiveCloud.
I shall wait and see. If everything moves from here as I know it, then I`ll be happy.
If that happens I`ll just stick to the forum that I know and ignore all the other stuff on LiveCloud.
I`ll wait and see.
I think we have generally developed a sort of community spirit and I`d like to keep that.

its not that we dont want to follow, its the fact that where this forum is being dragged is buggy, incomplete and frankly for some of us just completely unuseable, just because all the posts from here will transfer over the features most certainly wont, of course i'll never say never, maybe by the time bb starts next year they will have updated deathcloud to a level where its only 5 years behind every other forum software on the market, maybe then it will be useable at least.

surely it tells you something about how bad it is when everyone is having to set notifications to "i've left the planet" just to stop an avalanche of unwanted emails generated by deathcloud?

As I just said, I will take a look tomorrow after it's moved but unless they have managed to bring it up to at least the 20th century I won't be staying. It's just not worth the hassle. I went through all that kind of crap when I first got the internet around 12 years ago, and guess what? They were American forums too! When I finally found myself a good old British forum I was amazed to see a proper, workable forum in place.

i dont think its an american / brit thing, its just the software thats way below what could be considered to be acceptable (or even useable) quality, i do agree that it needs a lot of work to bring it upto 20th century standards let alone to todays standards.

It's an American/Brit thing in as much as the Americans put up with such tripe whereas some of us Brits are not prepared to just accept rubbish without a word of protest.

I think that what a lot of people forget is that the FMs would have scattered to the four winds by now were it not for gaga after C4 closed theirs. FMs were given a TEMPORARY home on the understanding gaga were developing their hosting. So yes, it's having bugs and difficulties and those who can't tolerate these developments are free to feel angry and wanting to go elsewhere.
Those, however, who want to try out the new format and stay with their sense of community but who are having problems with it should not be discouraged from doing so imo.
Sorry you don't feel the same way.
