Re Dame's post on Ian Cameron's estate and inheritance tax and the reference to the ÂĢ1.2 milion property going to his daughters via a trust. there are complex tax rules relating to trusts.
Without knowing what type of trust it is and what the terms of it are we cannot say what tax was payable, or what tax will become payable in future.
Trust income tax rates can be as high as 45%:

Whatever tax is payable, I'll bet they  try to hide it   And like I said...  Cameron won't be the only one doing this at the minute

it was reported at the time El, I remember posting on here about it. I'm not really into tax affairs to be honest, I paid mine in the normal and fair way

I am however convinced that Ian Cameron setting aside at least three offshore accounts would have made darn sure he would pay the least amount he could get away with, if any at all...

The tax of trusts has changed in recent years which means that it's possible that what the father had intended mighn't be the case now.

This new row about the 200K that Cameron received from his mother only becomes relevant if it can be proved that it was done deliberately to reduce future inheritance tax and with his full compliance. But it would not be the reduction of inheritance tax that would be the problem (as that is currently a legal move), but Cameron's purported stance against such things!

Elder brother takes over family home (worth?) but nothing from father's will.

Two sisters share 1m house (500K each)

'Call-me-Dave' gets only 300K from will, but shortly after gets 'gifted' 200K from mother. (He now has 500K)

Is it an elaborate plot? If so why only keep 200k from father's estate?

If 500K was earmarked for Cameron why not have it all transferred to the mother and she can 'gift' the whole lot to him later?

Or would it seem too strange if he 'got nothing' in the will?

Were there other intricacies involved?

we haven't see his tax records, just a letter from his accountant, like I have said for 6 years, the most corrupt government ever.
