Just about to watch it over now... I don't really get the Ricky Gervais hype or understand how he made it so big, I don't dislike him but don't find him that funny either. Now he's in America hosting awards ceremonies with a listers?

Just seen that joke he cracked about the famous scientologist... bit awkward the reaction he got Also, am I being ignorant in not knowing which "famous scientologist he is referring to?

Mixed reactions in the papers today but mainly positive. "Awkward glory" was one description.

I haven't seen any of it but IMO scientologists leave themselves wide open to ridicule so if he had a pop at them, all power to him.

Now THAT would have been good to watch!


The ceremony itself was a bit of all ado about nothing, flat and dull, and as always, hugely pretentious and plastic and faux adoration. (When in reality the knives are going in but they think people don't know )

The team who were doing the UK presenting for Sky to cover the awards were shockingly shite
