Glen Hoddle says he wants to return as England boss

So far the FA have not commented.

Is he fit to be manager and represent our country? Or is it time to accept his apologies and move on?

He was sacked in 1999 as England manager.

Back then he BLAMED disabled people for their disability due to misdemeanours of a previous life, he said,

"You and I have been physically given two hands and two legs and half-decent brains. Some people have not been born like that for a reason. The karma is working from another lifetime."

I really rate Glenn Hoddle as a player and a manager even though I don't get his brand of Christianity at all.

It is a common belief in some religions that people are punished in this life for bad stuff in previous lives. He has the right to believe that or any other stuff that most of us would find offensive or weird.

He has been doing excellent work in Spain with young footballers from England who have been let go by their clubs. He gives them a place and carries on coaching them for free only taking a fee when (and if) the player actually gets signed by a club.

It was a desperately needed facility when he set it up and I hope he carries on with it

I love him! He is the reason I became a Spurs supporter back in the early 80's...skimpy shorts and a poodle perm....what was there not to love!!!!??? He did get a tad wrong on his previous attempt though, didn't he?!!! Still...I'd rather he got his second chance than Sir Harry of Redknapp was lured away from us! Go Glenn!

P.S. I am such a huge fan I even bought 'Diamond Lights'.....and still sing along now!!!!

He's an asset to the game despite having been a liability as England manager.

So many in high profile jobs are employed to do a specific job and then think it's their gateway for bringing in outside 'business'.  I couldn't give a stuff about who he worships or what his beliefs are - I just don't want to hear about them when they're attached to his (as was) managerial job with the English footy team.  He should have been savvy enough to know to keep it schtum.  In fact he probably WAS savvy but got above himself, so to speak.
