The third season of Glee will air on Sky instead of E4 in the UK.

After rumours about the show's future on E4 last month, Sky has reportedly signed a deal to broadcast the new episodes.

According to the Daily Star, Sky eventually paid ÂĢ12m for the rights to the series.

A spokesperson for Sky would not confirm or deny the reports but a Channel 4 spokesperson told Digital Spy: "By not renewing the Glee deal, we are freeing up huge amounts of budget to invest in home-grown programming, British talent and of course continuing to discover and showcase what the US has to offer."

The spokesperson added: "We are particularly thrilled to have recently acquired The Killing."

Channel 4 announced last month that it had picked up The Killing, the American remake of popular Danish series Forbrydelsen.

The first season of Glee premiered on E4 in the UK in 2009 and became a hit for the digital channel. The current season is airing on Mondays at 9pm on E4.

What a load of crap, I can't afford SKY, did they not consider viewers like me?

Well you will me able to find it online once it is aired in US   but if it is made by fox changing channels is the least of your worries they cancel shows at the drop of a hat almost always just as they get really good.  Season 3 of glee hasn't even begun filming yet so in any case you won't see it for a while.

From the little I've heard, the early episodes are pretty faithful.

The real problem has beem that they chose to set the remake in Washington State, and because of that, American audiences not familiar with the Danish original initially thought it was a remake or reworking of "Twin Peaks". I think it's had a lot of difficulty recovering from the resulting misconceptions...

As far as Glee is concerned: if it really is going to Sky, then I simply won't be watching it after Series 2 - simple as that.

I've been quite enjoying the current series, but not enough to pay for it (I don't currently get Sky, and it's unlikely I will this side of Hell freezing over.) I'm not sure I care enough to spend the time and effort watching it online either...

The same thing happened when Sky took over "Lost" (although watching online wasn't an option for me at the time). I made the decision that I'd see how I felt when the Series 3 box set came out, and if I was still interested I'd buy it. In the end I wasn't, so I didn't...
