If he hadn't cheated on his wife, there wouldn't have been anything to "twitter" about.
Instead of getting injunctions and trying to sue people, he should be concentrating his energies on his family.
This latest legal move will only add fuel to the fire and ensure this story runs and runs.

Weeks before it went on Twitter it was being discussed on here, and that footballers name was mentioned (allegedly - a la Hislop).
Twitter just has a few more members than Gaga - those of you in that thread should be worried in case you get a knock on the door from the Internet police today
I'm not fussed about footballers and so called celebrities love lives, however I do hope he doesn't get anywhere with this suing etc.I'm more worried by big business and conglomerates trying to keep all their misdeeds quiet.
ive never liked giggs-he's got eyes like a teddy bear
ive got 4 topics in the top 10 list

Hmm....a contentious question with a contetious answer.
*gets hard hat out*
According to the lawyers they're not sueing, just trying to get the names of those who made the initial leak.
the initials of the footballer are diferent to that of giggs - unless he has another name?

Take responsibility for his actions and stop trying to blame/sure everyone that names him for it all getting out into the press
He's a twat for cheating
She's a slut for helping him cheat
Have no sympathy for either
. . . although i'm really quite lovely in the real world (((hug))

He really does! i've not noticed that before. Got a brain like one too by the sound of it. How to confirm that the Twitter rumours are true in one easy lesson.
I just noticed they are both born on the same day 29th November, both Welsh, both money grabbers, what else evidence do we need!

Maybe she's clinging onto the hope that she can sort it out because there's kids to consider but he's more to blame for conducting an affair yet Imogen seems to me to be considered the bad person when she's single but knew he was married..
Even as a United fan just laughed at that tweet Piers Moron just did.

It's a bit late now, isn't it? His attempts to keep it secret have only drawn attention to the whole thing.
what a twat.. is he going to sue facebook as well as i`m sure that he`s been mentioned on there as well...
btw.. *joins in with the `i always thought` gang* ..... i always said his eyes were too close together
It's just been on the main news, although they didn't name the person who brought the injunction.

I know it's been mentioned on there, but only after it was leaked on Twitter, so FB's probably OK.
"But if the lawsuit is intended to deter Tweeters from spreading the news further - it hasn't worked.
A trending graph of Twitter usage shows that mentions of the star's name spiked just moments after the legal papers were filed.
News of the footballer's decision to take action emerged just hours after the Lord Chief Justice declared that social media needed to be brought under control."
^^^^ quoted from Yahoo. It looks like the most recent lawsuit may have backfired.
Yogi, as I understand it, all they're trying to do is find out who leaked it (breached the injunction) in the first place.
The lawsuit is supposedly to force Twitter to reveal the names of the perpetrators.

That may have been the intention, Fluffy but it has certainly annoyed the Tweeters and the footballer may well have stirred up a hornet's nest for himself.
