Do you have the "gift of the gab"?
Do you know someone who has?

You know the sort of person I mean?
Someone who could talk their way out of a tight corner.
Could be a politician, or a door-to-door salesman, or a market trader, or a friend or a family member.
Someone who never seems stuck for words, who seems to have an answer for everything.
Do you trust them?
I'm afraid I don't.
(Except for Stephen Fry of course.)

Funnily enough, my younger sister can talk for England, or most of the Commonwealth, but there was a seven year gap, so maybe she developed that as we all started leaving!

My youngest is a gobby one too.

I don't think it is to do with profession, or background, or age. I have seen it in young people and in older people.

I am not sure if I am envious or not. But I find I am usually extra cautious if I think someone has the gift of the gab.
