Thanks Darlo. I'm not saying Noirin's perfect... but at least she's contributing towards BB10, unlike most of the other women in there, but sadly she's getting slated for it on here.

I guess a lot of forumers think female HM's should be seen but not heard?

True, she has been called some nasty names but tbh she is bitchy and two faced at times. She has contributed to the show unlike Sophie and at times Karly. Noirin is pretty, she can be alright and nice but she is justified in her behaviour in terms of Sree Smiler.

Spot on regarding her behaviour being justified to the creep! Nod "Some" DO realise this, but they're using snippets of her less desirable behaviour to "justify" their own gripe with her, as well as to provoke reaction. Shake Head

He made Karly cry on the first or second day by telling her she dresses inappropriately.

He stalked Noirin and made her life a complete misery until she finally had enough and shut up him.

He pulled the pillow from under Noirin's head, leaving her clasping her ear in pain.

He brandished his fist in Noirin's face.

He goes from housemate to housemate back stabbing and bitching about other people.

In short, he's a complete loser.

Karly got upset and he apologised and comforted her - She's been far more offended by Marcus's crass comments and still likes Sree.

He misread his friendship with Noirin and thought he had a chance with her - a bit nutty, but hardly 'nasty'!

He pulled the pillow out from under her head, as a joke - I've seen far worse from pretty much all of them, in the name of fun.
I'm sure her ear will survive hitting the mattress. Wink

The fist thing was silly, but was not done in an intimidating manner - just stupid, juvenile behaviour, which I admit I've done before in jest.

As for the bitching and backstabbing, yes, he's moaned about people like Marcus and the way he's being treated by them, but I'd say she was winning in the bitching stakes, tbh! Nod

But what I cannot condone is the way Noirin spoke to Sree last night. She was in pole position to start with because she was speaking in her first language. She never once took the time to look at Sree's face and read the signs that she was going too far. She kept on with the non-stop spiel, never thinking how hurtful or devastating her words were to a vulnerable person. She showed very little empathy and less sympathy towards him. I thought she was shrewish and shrill, to the point of cruelty. He didn't deserve to be subjected to such a tirade.

You are presuming english is her first language, she might be from a Gaeltacht area, don't think Ireland is english....

As an Irish woman myself, I know that in certain areas of Ireland that gaelic is spoken but that is mainly on the islands off the west coast. The majority of people in Ireland speak English. Noirin's English and understanding of English is much better than Sree's, I think you would agree. Thereby, giving her the advantage.

I am so tired of reading the most ridiculous threads about Noirin, I see the same people slating her and the same people defending her (me included)...

She has done NOTHING to deserve the slating she gets on here.. she is not perfect, she is young and wanting to enjoy her BB experience, she has unfortunately attracted the unstable Sree and Angel, they want all her attention.. give the girl a break for gawds sake! she is handling it the best she knows how...

She has not bitched anymore then anyone else in the house, they have all had a go about someone or another...nothing to serious either...

I am not even going to bother looking at the responses to this post as I know already who will say what.. tooo boorriinnnn...

lets talk about siavash.... he's a very cool guy.. or Freddie.. so sweet..

To each his own because I loved the way she didn't let him say anything so he can manipulate her the way he does everyone else. And as I've said before I hope he stays because although I don't like him, I want to see how far he can go with manipulating people (inside and outside the house) into believing his "I'm so innocent and vulnerable" game plan. It's quite entertaining to watch.

Erm what about Galway and other mainland areas?.Children in Ireland speak what language there parents say for the first 4 years whether it be english or Irish, if they are sent to an english speaking school then Irish becomes their second language and lets not forget Sree's english is good enough for Uni and as Sree said himself, he can hardly remember how to speak his home language....

You are right, Sree is a manipulator of the first order. He is clever, sly and devious. He is annoying, socially inept and a right pain in the butt. He is all those things, and more. I have been guilty of adding, and agreeing with other similar-minded people, about most of those criticisms in my posts regarding Sree in the past. But I looked at Sree's face last night when Noirin was in full flow and I felt sorry for him because she went too far, was too hurtful, went too near the bone imo.

In the RoI, the Irish Language is I believe part of the curriculum. It was when I was younger, not so sure now. I was born in NI and I didn't get the chance to learn my native language, which I regret. I know that in parts of Kerry and Galway (and on the Inish Islands) that Irish is still spoken but it is sadly dying out. As Noirin is a Dubliner, it is most likely she can speak both languages but uses English as the language most understood by the people she mixes with. Sree was born in India, went to school in India. He has not been in England very long and he is still finding the nuances of English quite baffling. Therefore, Noirin, thru more sustained usage of the English Language, has the advantage.

Honestly, for me, I like that she's nice with a bitchy side. If she would have continued on like she was in the beginning *snore*...I'm falling asleep just typing how boring she was in the beginning.

I like the way she flirts. lol Because that's what she does, flirt. She didn't jump in bed with anyone (yet) and she isn't a prude either. She just flirts around with everyone and everyone seems to fall for her! I'm a celibate flirt also. Smiler

I like how she enjoys the company of people like Marcus, Siavash, and Cairon. I know and hang around guys who who talk about women and sex a lot. I mean I objectify men and talk about sex all day so... LOL

I also like how she knows she's pretty. For some reason I have a pet peeve with people who are gorgeous and pretend they don't know it. Big Grin

But what I don't like is she seems to be oblivious that she looks down on people she thinks is less attractive and I don't like the way she supports Marcus' rudeness sometimes.

I thought so stonks. Anyway, as Irishers, we can agree to disagree (I hope) on our countrywoman. Hug

I think Sree's English is very poor. Whether or not he remembers his native tongue is by the by really.

I was born on the border and my mother was born in RoI. I am Irish by birth, British by birthright. I live in England but my heart is in Ireland.

sorry for the delay tierac. I went offline for a short time.

I agree with a lot of what you say. But I see it that Lisa has now handed her crown over to Noirin and she is running with it. Lots of attitude, being bossy, and basically thinking she owns the joint. She can only get worse as the days go on. She is rather beautiful and, yes, she does flirt a lot. Nothing wrong with that, provided she keeps herself in check.
