Nah, it`s been more than that pam. Most of us on here have all lived through it together.
As Nikki said. It`s special. I`ll miss it.

So will I Scotty
^^^^^ what Scotty said.....
Definitely more than just a TV show. A big part of my summers over the past decade. I can't remember what summer is like without BB. Guess I'll find out next year!
Yes it is but we have had love and war and everything in between online so we might dab away the odd tear

I am a bit puzzled by the reaction tonight , and don't understand why some people are upset I've found most of the programme tonight really over the top, and quite nauseating.

Gawd, a decade... I was still at school when it started

Me too Growly. I just see it as a TV programme I'm sorry, but maybe that's the way my mind works
I'm just thinking of how many forum babies have been born since it started.

It's been like having loads of foster children and watching them play nicely, not so nicely and hopefully grow up.Reference:

Not just a TV programme ...............it really has been a big part of my life. I know peeps find it sad but ...........that's just how it is. I wouldn't be here without BB and .......this is a big part of my life as well.
BB.................has an impact.
And yes I'm sad!

it's not about the end of the programme so much as the end of the forum ....BB brought everyone together and reinvigorated it with every new series ..... that won't happen now and the BB forum as we've known it won't continue ..... that's what makes me sad

I am watching it whilst chatting to my daughter who is at uni.
She and I have shared many BB moments and we fell out for a while.
We are mates again now and to watch this last night with her means the world to me.
The thing is Pam. my life has changed so much over the BB decade so for me it is an end of an era and the beginning of a new one and therefore it is something that i am feeling emotional about.

yup, and I've met some proper ace people through here (C4, you know what I mean!)

I agree. I've got to meet some nice people through the C4 forum, but I'm a bit baffled by the reaction. I've also found the coverage so boring. The last thing I wanted to see was five minutes of Jade Goody yet again, and someone else's idea of what the best bits of the last 10 years have been.

That's good for you and anyone else in the same situation Issy, but to my mind this programme purporting to be a 'reality' programme ..........isn't
It's not so much about the programme per se it's more about the fact that we've all 'met' eachother and become part of each others lives over the years. In the time of BB I have got married had 4 children, buried 3 of them and all with the support of many lovely people on here...
For that I thank you - all of you.
That is what is making me sad tonight. The programme ending is just a small part of how I feel.

But the forum isn't closing, is it? Or do you know something I don't? The C4 forum, and subsequently this forum, have always carried on when Big Brother hasn't been on air, so why should it be any different now?Reference:

I'll miss BB a bit, it had some brilliant moments, but I was dry eyed watching tonight.. need to say though Jonononono's post knocked me over the edge, I hadn't really thought that the end of the show also meant the end of some folks' involvement in the forum, and it got me all nostalgic, and I realised I'll actually miss some people from here ( in a non-committal, West of Scotland way of course.. ) I'm feeling a bit sad now

Yes, I saw it Jonono, but it still doesn't mean you have to leave the forum and as I said in another thread, it's good that lots of peeps have formed friendships, but please...........it still is only a programme

Of course the forum is staying open! Just like it always did with C4 and on here after BB had ended last year.Add Reply
