Hey all,

I hope you all had a jolly Christmas or whatever it is you celebrated.

Anywho, onto more important matters. Namely, me! .  As some of you know I've been applying for a job in Frankfurt, Germany.  The first agency I went through, gave me an English test, which I had to pass in order to get an interview. Unfortunately I failed, scoring only 57%, I then turned to my slaves, lackeys, peasants friendly gaga folk (you lot) for advice.  Many of you offered to look at the test to see how well you could do.  I got a lot of response with a few admitting that it was a very difficult test. Nevertheless you all found additional corrections to the ones I originally found.

I decided to apply for the job again, through a different agency, and they sent me another English test to complete. Interesting thing was that it was exactly the same test that the previous agency sent me. So with all the additional corrections I received from you lot, I cheekily took the test again....just got the results back today....I passed! Or in their words "I did a good test", which I'm gathering that I did well enough to pass.

So the next step is the interview process. I won't find out when my interview is till after the 9th Jan, but I do know the position starts at the beginning of February.  I also know that I will have to take another English test at the interview, which will be more difficult, so if anyone knows of any online mock tests (similar to the one I had to do), I would be most grateful for any links.

Just want to say a BIG thank you to all those that helped out, with finding corrections and such. I know its a bit cheeky of me to use them, but I guess you gotta take any advantage you can in this day and age.

Thanks to EVERYONE again, but notable mentions go to:

Fluffball, Pingu, Meatburger and Barry.

I'm no good at all that propa English stuff but if you need me to do your nails or lend you a pair of heels for the interview then gimme a shout

Your heels and Rawky's gold tie should surely win the interview stage!

Good luck with that Rawky. I'm sure you'll be fine - with or without the heels and gold tie.

P.S. Sprechen Sie Deutch?

Seriously though, if you know a bit of German it will be in your favour.

If you don't take advantage then you'll never make your own LUCK

^^ That's what I said in your other thread - and I believe it and KNOW it, Rawks.

You can do this job;  you've just got to prove it in whatever way you can.

All the best
