He looked blummin gorg on this strange programme last nigh pussycat. Twas only made a year ago... BBLB seems to have taken its toll on George.
And... last night his trousers were long enough... and he wasn't wearing a bow tie (he did give a rather dubious maroon cardy an outing though.... it was a bit of a grandpa cardy... but he managed to get away with it, I think)
Ickle & I had had a few lagers, and it took us a good ten mins to establish that it was a serious documentary... and not a spoof.
Should have been a spoof though, it was funny as... we were howling at it!

What was it about?!
It was a pretty shit attempt @ drug taking tbh.
I only caught the back end of the programme... but it seemed to be an investigative style programme on the pro's & con's of so called "legal drugs".
I'm not sure if it was cos I'd had a few... but it didn't half make me laugh. George (in the interest of journalism) agreed to give some sort of legal weed type stuff a go. First he had to go and get checked out by a doctor to check he was fit for the experiment.
I don't believe the bloke he saw was his doctor... looked more like a mate. And I have never seen a blood pressure machine thingy that looked like a kids tape recorder before. But... he said George was fit... so off George goes for a bash on the bong (his doctor mate was there too)... and got trolleyed.
Then, they show a clip of people who have apparently put themselves forward to trial one of these tweaked illicit compounds... and we see a clip a bit like the beginning of the film Firestarter.... and the most unlikely set of recreational drug users displaying Parkinsons like symptoms (but the whole thing was very vague.)
Then... and this is when I had to hold my sides, they hurt so much from laughing... he intereviewed two lads who had apparently taken a new compound that was similar to MDMA but legal..... but they looked like they had bought cheap hippie fancie dress costumes...and to make them even more authentic... it showed them in a cafe eating beans and eggs.
If someone posts and says it was a spoof I wouldn't be surprised... I am still not convinced it was supposed to be serious.
The end conclusion, as George talks about his concern for these drugs... shows a full on rave... insinuating that all these ravers were getting off on these health food legal drugs....
..erm no George, I think we can be fairly sure they are all on the proper illegal stuff!

Should have seen Edith Bowman presenting Reading highlights (if you can call it presenting.)
Either she really is the most shit presenter on TV or she was on something stronger than lemonade
