Thanks for the reply duckypup, i fully understand what you mean.

My take on the original point (as someone who has frequented footy sites in the past, never liked them much due to sill rivalries over playing thier role) i find it more the way people react to certain comments like the cancer one in here is the main difference..I think if it affected people on footy sites like it does with people on here, the people on the footy sites would just simply not respond because of the uncaring comments that could be made by opposing teams fans.

Here it's a total different kettle of fish, as everyone seems to support the same team, IE, bb.

This is actually now a good example of what I'm talking about in my initial post.
Thought so! If you insult people because of their age then some are undoubtedly going to take offence..... I hate it for example when young people are demonised by the press and all characterised as hoodie wearing yobs...Cuts both ways ...

, if the press or some people could see past their stereotypes and try to see the good points of us younger people instead of focusing on the bad.

As for forumness, i've joined TIBB and I really like it there... I get around.

How do you know there aren't highly strung old people who have forgotten to take their pills?
Bloody Hell, you're not getting this are you?!?...I don't know that there aren't any 'hoodie wearing/yobs' or 'lazy students' or 'dole scroungers' etc. etc. but wouldn't make a sweeping comment about any particular 'group' cos it would be inaccurate, discriminatory and *****ist....   BTW, I'm not insulted personally.....let's leave it there maybe someone else can explain this better than I can! You did ask!

But there are. It's when people brand everyone under a certain age as these things that is discriminative. I didn't say or hint that everyone over a certain age was on pills, did i? But yeah lets leave it, cos this isn't what I wanted for this thread. But it kind of has illustrated my question/observation.
Crunchy Nuts
At the end of the day-- i am not bothered about who goes or wins.. Them in there don't give a monkeys about us lot on here who maybe fall-out about them. They will all get their big pay check and make more money from their appearance on there. We get to see 1 hour of highlights from 24 hours of action-- C4 edit it to get folk through they want. So lets be sensible and see it for what it is-- a TV show...

This years bb forums comments seems more like a class war over a 'reality' show. Great craic was had in the last BB series forum wise. This one is taking a class war approach which is just plain daft. (even though steph is a stuck up old bat)
Lets face it all the HM's are slightly nuts. They do not actually represent UK society in reality. Point in fact is Stephanie acting posh, she is the classic fur coat and no knickers. The 'Lady' got her baps out for playboy for cash in the day.

That's just the start of how ridiculous they are. They are all crazy folks that we love to hate. Lets have a larf at their expense.

Exactly... Better to laugh at em and enjoy these forums.. None of em would give any of us lot a second glance if we saw em on the street-- so no point in anyone getting hot under the collar on here over them
