Hiya Pip Hug

Mine goes to yr 10 next year, their yr 9 were the first yr to take a chosen (by school) GCSE.

So next year I will be fretting again. I only fret cos she frets. I'll be pleased whatever she gets.Big Grin

Allo Q Hug
She will be fine, and if your anything like my mum the fact that you believe in her no matter what will put her mind at ease...
which is why 2 years ago I wasn't too fussed what I got as long as I passed and was able to get into sixth form Big Grin
A few schools round here are doing that early GCSE thing, not sure if I agree with it or not.

My older kids school stopped doing it....it was ok doing them maths in year 9 and then an extra stats GCSE in year 10 but it still left them a bit in limbo...they only did it for a couple of years then realised it didn't really work.

You did well, all of them are a pass so there's no reason to feel sad!
I felt quite good about my results until I met my best friend, hers were disgustingly amazing, and she is the least likely person to get such fab results.

Yes Soops! (gis a cuddle you big soft lump you!)

She will be boarding *puts on brave smile*... but her school is the other side of the M25 from us... its about an hour and half drive. So she'll probably come home every fourth weekend, plus holidays.

She's bouncing around with excitement (singing "I'm going to Hogwarts")... I am trying to ignore the sting of tears at the back of my eyes. But, I wouldn't have wished for a different outcome... this is a massive opportunity for her.

Daughter got: 5 x A*, 3 x A and 2 x B. (plus the A in AS Engineering she got last week)

So.... she has her scholarship Big Grin Big Grin Crying Big Grin

In a way this is why I think Ickle going to board for 6th form is a good thing. It kinda weans me off her company slowly. A halfway house for me!

I know I will adjust though.. I and also know that thinking about her going, and the day she goes, will be harder than after shes gone (if you know what I mean!)

my stiff upper lip is struggling! *pulls self together, pours LMS a strong drink*
