Hey Spongey...Valentine

Girl Q did 1 GCSE in yr 9 (she's going to yr 10 n Sept), she did science.

She ain't a happy bunny right now either. Time will tell. Her dad was suppose to be going with her, but it's between 12-1, he can't take a whole day off, cos it's right bang middle of the day. I said I'll go and she said no I'll make her more nervous. Roll Eyes

offered to go with eldest spongette but she'd rather go with her mates...so i'll have to sit at home and wait...

though somehow she's managed to convince me that having some of her mates over to stay tonight will make her feel 'less nervous'... Laugh

she really needs good results to get into the 6th form at her school...now she's having a panic up she won't get them

good luck to girl q xxx... Thumbs Up

It is - but I'm not SO worried this time.
I'm sure he'll pass, and there is not so much pressure on him to get good grades because he will still get into the 6th form however he does. I'm not in any way saying they don't matter, but after last week, it sure feels easier.

That's quite a lot Lightfoot, my daughter were told they were just doing the 1.

It's good they've got yr 10 to re sit it.

And hello Hug

If she does pass it's going to cost me a fortune
in MAC makeup.. Big Grin

Yep! We're in this state of inner panic... outer calm (faux calm) in our house.

Is a huge deal for IckleDitty, cos her sixth form place DOES depend on her getting 6 A's.

(I keep getting this wrong.. I thought it was 5 x A*'s... but apparently its 6 x A's).

She should pull it off.... but she has still dreamt she got all D's & E's for the past two nights, and been up at the crack of dawn both days (unlike dead til midday for the rest of the hols)

My eldest grandson gets his reults tomorrow and I have everything crossed for him. Good grades means he can stay at the same school and go into 6th form. Bad grades means he will have to leave and find a 6th form college. So stressful for all of them. Good luck to all awaiting results tomorrow.

same situation here jean....

good luck to your grandson xxxx

and to rzb's lad too xxxx

All the best for tomorrow, spongee Hug

It's hard, I know. But what's the point of sitting about fretting? Just a suggestion but maybe if you took her & her mates out for a pre-result Pizza Night or something just to ease the tension?

A whole bunch of you sat around a massive pizza talking about "what-if" scenarios Wink

Thumbs Up spongey,

if he gets as high as a D we will be opening the bubbly, he has learning difficulties and
has taken only a couple of GCSE's. He has taken mainly diplomas. I'm proud of him what ever he gets. I can't blame him for lack of effort.

A very good reason to celebrate - good luck for him but so long as all have done their best, we cannot hope for more! Valentine
