In his defence he has the intelligence of an intellectually challenged field worm. I've never seen an interview from him in the last decade where he hasn't been blind drunk and slurring his words. Sod sectioning him to save him from himself, we're the ones who need to be protected from that complete numpty warbling nonsensically into a microphone on TV and of coursed driving around drunk without a worry in the world till he does eventually kill someone.

Totally agree Prom. He should have been locked up for the sake of humanity. He is up in court again next week for a driving offence he denies. Hope the Judge locks the bugger up till he can prove he is not a menace to society.

Many years ago the poor guy would have been treated for his illness whether that meant being in a hospital or whatever.

He has been in Re-hab that many times he has his own room. A sharp shock is what is needed . Celebs always seem to get off lighter than your normal Joe Noname.

I wouldn't count that as an illness as the person in question has to admit it's a problem and seek help of their own accord. I wouldn't discount that he's mentally ill in some way or other and really ought to be locked up.

He's an alcoholic but doesn't seem to know it. Fame Money and Fortune does this to them. Some can cope with it but he seems to be on the road to nowhere. He has had many chances to get his head right but seems to be incapable of doing it. A stint in the protection of HMS would maybe bring home the fact he is a danger to folk when drink/driving.

Alcholism is an illness whether the person admits it or not. Gazza has sought help. He`s just out of rehab - again.

I don't know where he's seeking help from but I never ever hear him doing any interview where he's not blind drunk. If it's an illness and he wants to drink himself to death I'm fine with that but if he's drink driving it needs to be taken out of his hands no matter who he is and locked up for the sake of other people's safety.

I have no time for him at all. He thinks he's some kind of hugely important football personality and waffles on endlessly about how much money he's got. He's seriously deluded. Drunk people with a tiny amount of braincells are extremely dangerous. This whole saga will end with him seriously injuring or killing someone.

You will have to read the books or remember the old interviews. There is more to it than alcoholism. He seemed to have an extreme form of OCD and certain mental issues which I don't think that I am qualified to define.

He seeks help, stays sober for a while ( couldn`t tell you how long) then goes back on it.
He`s got a chronic alchohol problem. I think drugs were involved at some point too. He also has mental health issues. I totally agree that he should be taken off the road before he injures or kills someone - just like anyone else who drinks and drives.

Yes he's an alcoholic and yes he's been in Rehab many times. His license should be taken away to save others lives and his.

I find all this kind of confusing. How many times does he have to commit the same offence before he's banned from driving for life? It's just bizarre.

I have no feeling about Gazza other than he seems to get off lighter than any 'normal' person, which is a bit annoying because he might understand the humongous problem he has if he gets a sharp shock.

Yep, justice hopefully. My heart sinks every time I see him mumbling incoherently into a microphone on TV. His wife was on I'm A Celebrity recently and she's a lovely woman. You can only imagine the hardship and heartbreak she's had to endure during her time with him.
