You could argue that there are no gay people or we are all gay ... I stongly feel that sexuallity is a spectrum and we all have a point in it and some us are more gay, others are more straight..... I don't think it's as uncommon as you think. I know quite a few gay couples and singles who have kids, some adopted and some not. The 'nuclear' family isn't as clear cut as it once was. I have loads more friends, both straight and gay, who don't have kids than those who do. I don't think the birds and bees comment was fair though, most of these childless couples have made a socio-economic decision, biology has little to do with it.

Queenie, on the grand scale it is very uncommon, I had to do a research assignment of that very topic so I do know a bit about it! I admit the birds and bees comment was uncalled for, but much like childless straight couples they have more disposable income and as gays are not able to have children biologicaly this dramitcally reduced the liklihood of them having children so I think the gay couple are less likely to have children to support is less a harsh statement and more a reality based on the facts.

Most of us get that these are just that... stereotypes... generalisations.

No they aren't I have gay friends who aren't drama queens, yes you get the odd idiot like the ones they seem to have on tap for BB like Dennis, Marco etc but on they whole you wouldn't know alot of people who are gay, eg Howards on TA.
