I'm not saying she wasn't harsh.. she was.. but he made it worse, ten fold, when he exaggerated what she had said in his own fevered imagination. He was upset.. but FFS, what a bliddy performance.

It was a bit cringy .... yes .... but I don't think he was acting ... I think Freddie just *is* drama ... not necessarily good drama ... Ninja

Bea, on the other hand, is just plain nasty ...

Doubtlessly. But if she had done (and SAID Roll Eyes) a little less, the reaction might not have been quite so extreme?

I don't particularly like Freddie. I find him irritating. But that was a not too shabby attempt at mental abuse on Bea's part.

Which is why she was nearly pooing her pants later, when she saw Fred "convulsing" on the bedLaugh

He amplified it and ramped it up in his own head. It went from 0 to 30 in the conversation and then right up to 60 in the time it took him to take to his bed with the vapours.

True. But throughout tht 0-30-60 she barely drew breath to shut the feck up. She was as relentless as usual.

I literally watch her open mouthed. What is she like in the RL eh, if her friends are watching her, are they doubting their friendships cos I certainly would.

Freddie is not the sort to tell her to eff off....more's the pity.

He didn't even nominate her. Silly boy.

They both bliddy love it. He loves going to her to do his own particular brand of Oprah sky gazing and she likes an opportunity to tell him she thinks he's a twat. It makes me wonder, why, if you're feeling like a dog that has been kicked, would you keep going back for more. Unless of course.. you love the dramaaaaz..

The best way to treat a screaming toddler is to ignore them. Or drop to the floor in the middle of the fruit and veg aisle and throw your own temper tantrum alongside them.

Oh, yah! I'm certain they're both a pair of frustrated luvvies at heart, daaaaahling Wink

Watching the BBLB clips was funny as hell. But, for me, seeing the entire thing, and the whole context, somehow....wasn't nearly as funny.

I don't cry v often,(for a girlie Laugh) but, on the rare occassion that I do it starts over a certain thing and then I think, and this and that, and the other, and I'm off on a biggie making things soooo much more than they probably really are! At the same time, I usually feel really anxious/panicky etc.....Isn't that what happens with most people/what happened to Freddie?

I went from oh FFS you two and a slight 'awwww' to having my view of modern man completely destroyed by what I can only describe as something akin to a middle aged woman finding her first errant facial hair.

No not funny and not hysterical vapours...just someone trying to cope with having his whole personality ripped apart and belittled...and struggling to make sense of it and try to answer the oh so great wise one Bea ... who surely should have the intelligence to realise that dyslexia makes it difficult to express yourself with words sometimes, no matter how intelligent you are

My reading was that yes...his reaction was OTT but tbh he's sat back and taken so much crap off Bea these last few days he finally imploded. He SHOULD have yelled back at her but that's not Freddie is it? His emotions had to go somewhere hence the OTT hissy fit.

In a way he was quite "female" - I'm one of those women who will cry when I'm really angry. I think that was it.

Not me Soops....

a) I would never have let her gather momentum on her tirade of crap anyway... and lets face it, he gave her the run up cos he was still hoping for a bit of touchy feely.

b) I try to do my crying in private, or in the company of my nearest and dearest. In the house I would be either in a loo cubicle ... or something.

If that sounds harsh and hard, thats cos I am hardened.. .cos life gives you knocks and they floor you and strengthen you. If we all went round acting like that it would be mayhem.

The effect of Dyslexia on the emotions

Whatever difficulties one may have in life, anxiety usually makes them worse, and this is certainly true of dyslexic difficulties: adult dyslexics become locked in a vicious circle of anxiety and inefficiency. Anxiety and stress can also precipitate physical symptoms: panic attacks, nausea, migraine, susceptibility to illness. Being physically below par naturally further reduces efficiency and so the downward spiral continues.

I keep reading that Freddie over-reacted - he cannot help it!!!

I don't think he said that to Siavash did he? But even if he did it was a tiny percentage of the overall description which was remarkably accurate for reported speech and considering his emotional state.

Very few people report something 100% accurately, but he managed to use almost word for word accurate accounts of her comments.
