Mine too EC - remember it so well. Gareth Thomas, RIP.
Sad news
I watched every epsiode of Blake's 7. The final scene of the final episode will be remembered by every regular viewer of that series for the rest of their lives. Although Blake was definitely killed (Gareth Thomas made that a condition on his appearance), the fate of the others is not certain as although it is assumed that they were killed, only Blake is shown blood-stained, the others are not.

Standard by 12 would have been helpful then.
Aww......I too would never miss an episode. I even tried to get the hairdresser to cut my hair like Servelan (Jacqueline Pierce), but it didn't look anything like it.

I was sneaking a few minutes on GGJJ whilst at work and did not want to get caught so all my posts and edits were a bit seat of the pants.
In one episode of Blake's 7 in 1980 Colin Baker appeared, some 3 years before he became Doctor Who.

He looked kinda youthful in that clip - I did want to see the door being opened though.
My favourite character was probably Avon, then the voice of the Liberator and finally Soolin, who adorned my bedroom wall in poster form.
EC, the complete episode with Colin Baker:
(Gareth Thomas was not in that episode)
I enjoyed watching re-runs of Blake's 7
Sad to see him go - RIP
Blakes 7 was great.
RIP Gareth Thomas
I never really thought the show was the same after the Blake character left. I felt the series lacked something after Gareth Thomas left the show. The Avon character, Paul Darrow, never struck me as an equal replacement as the lead character but maybe it was because I was young and didn't like the moral ambiguity of his character.
I remember a series called Morgan's Boy shortly afterwards, he was good in that too.
RIP Gareth Thomas
