What’s a sea loch ?

A loch that opens to the sea at one end as opposed to being land locked......except maybe for a river running or out.

Loch Lomond is land locked, but Loch Long is a sea loch.

We stayed in a hotel beside Loch Linnhe, which is also a sea loch

Yes. there are a lot of both kinds. but I didn't want to overdo it!

Didn't have any rarer species,I think it depends how the winter is .I remember a few years back during a bad winter we had loads of gold finches at the feeders, not seen them for a few years.

I’ve had some goldfinches but haven’t had any greenfinches for ages. I used to have several pairs visit my garden.
