My lavender looks quite good this year 

Mine did too - I stuck one plant in a planter with a couple of other plants 

Mine is in a bed ...and I thought I’d lost it last year , but it’s come back .

 I used to have a row of it in a border - till Mr Y decided to put down the weed preventing matting and stones in the borders. Only the big shrubs like the buddleia, perennial geranium and azaleas survived.

I must admit, I’m glad I don’t have to weed the borders any more but I miss the lavender

yes love them but can't have them - poisonous to cats

I didn’t know that 

 there are quite a long list of plants poisonous to cats - Lily's especially

I knew about lilies - I don’t have any in my garden 

 cats protection produce a list
