They are so beautiful when you are only a few inches away 😁

When they stand up and flap their wings they are pure white underneath 🙂

Their markings are quite lovely 😁

Eldest son has an interest in it, from his architectural conservation days. 

He once made his brother stop on a country road, heading to my parents, so he could check out the stone work on a little bridge
