My dad did.

He called them 'goosegogs'.

 

My dad’s farmer friend had lots of wild gooseberries on his land and we used to pick them for his wife to make pies and jam.

I'm going to have to buy some to try them again after so long.

I always remember my dad's onions hung up in the garage in bunches, the tops tied together.

Mine hang up in MrY’s metal shed, jokingly known as The Anderson Shelter 

Even the grandchildren refer to it as the Anderson - in fact, the electrician who put lighting into the garden did too.
