 I’ve seen quite a few butterflies in the last fortnight but they’re mostly whites.

I’m sure she’s a nice girl and possibly quite knowledgeable but she can’t put it across, which makes her a terrible presenter.

Where I live it's mostly grass, but there are a couple of patches of bare ground that could do with some colour. They get sun until 12, then the sun passes behind houses,

They'll love that! Mine get the shade first, then the sun in the afternoon.

That's good to know. 

Just hope the other residents don't think they are weeds and pull them up. 

Hubby thought they were weeds and liberally sprayed them with weedkiller for the fortnight that I was away last May/June. They didn't grow much or flower, but they didn't die and are looking quite healthy this year. So hopefolly they will flower June/July this year as normal.

I hope they do flower, will show great resilience. 

Latest on the poppies is that although some of the leaves  are looking a bit ropey, there's quite a lot of good green growth AND 12 flower buds!!!!!!!!!!
