We Jocks do a hard "a" sound in words like plant.
It's not rocket science - in the wild, self set trees all grow without any help.

I planted two hydrangea in the spring ...one is going strong ....a white one ....but the other died
I'm useless with hydrangea. I've killed off two and I have one in a pot which only had one flower last year - this year looks more promising though with four flower heads appearing ATM.
I have an indoor one too, which has no flowers since I dead headed it.
Saint, did you plant some Delphiniums recently?
