But is there a quick way to get to the latest post in a big thread, like the Penthouse please?

There is one. Go to a really long thread, or any thread, really.

 

If you're logged in click the gear icon on the top right. If you're not logged in click the SIgn in button. You should see a Jump to bottom link, that takes you to the latest post.

Baz, I don't have an iPhone so I haven't had much time with the iPhone App.  I helped with some QA testing on it long ago but....... well, I don't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday. 

 

I'm certainly sure there are differences, but where I couldn't really view the forums well on my Android before now I can use then quite well.

My BB is really slow as well. I don't really use it for browsing. I have Virgin/orange as a provider.

Gave up ... it wouldn't accept my password. I shouldn't really use it on my phone anyway, coz it's a work phone ... so I'm not too worried.

 

Well they both seem fairly easy to access Dave.... so now I am logged in in about 4 places

This also pertains to Dialogs, btw, unlike the iPhone app.

Not that i'm actually using it much as sat in front of a PC monitor for much of the day!

I very rarely access from a mobile but when I did it was via my Nokia [symbian] using the Opera for Mobile browser and I never had any problems viewing the board. Just tried it now and all that I can see are the stickys, the threads aren't there..

I use the iphone app which is pretty good!

It's brilliant! Thank you so much I generally use the iPhone app but regularly switch to my browser to see pics & vids, it'll be so much easier now! I love the moving avi's & smileys too

Woo hoo just tested it, its great..just like being on me comp..thankyou....

I fixed it. .switched back to standard view in the Oepra browser using the cog thingy and it all looks normal again...  and can see all the topics, background and avi's properly  too.. use my puter for internet most of the time only of an evening when I turn it all off andthen want to check something do I use my phone via my wifi router.. 

 

not that my mobile screen is very big so tis a pain to use cos I reckon I need a huge telescope to read it half the time

Excellent, i did download app on daughters iphone but had probs with it, so hopefully can access it now on my HTC.

I must be incredibly thick (and don't all rush to confirm it   but I couldn't see any difference using my smartphone

THAT'S weird. It's supposed to automatically sense that you are on a smartphone, and switch you to the mobile view. Is it possible that you chose to switch to the standard view?

Lori you're talking in tongues to me    I just plugged in the address and signed in and then it was as it ever is when I log in by my phone

OK got on it   yes it's nice.  I found it a tad slow but that could have been my connection

Yeah Lori I had to cos it didn't work properly in mobile view, if that was what I had when I first tried it. .I'd always been able to view it via the Opera for Mobile browser before and it looked the same as it does on the puter.. with the changes it only showed the sticky's and couldn't scroll down to topics [or they just weren't there]  and no background and I couldn't zoom in either.. tis fine now it's back to normal  tho that took a bit of sorting cos it froze the phone a few times so I had to turn it off and restart it... also it didn't load that change to standard view option on the first few attempts. .tried one more time later and there it was that time under the cogs thingy..

 

wasn't a problem really cos I rarely use the phone to log on just tried it cos I saw the thread and thought I'd see what it looked like.. anyway tis all ok now it's not in mobile view

When *I* switched to standard view, I don't see a way to switch back. I might bring that up...and risk them looking at me all funny.
