Ted has announced that links to the "first unread post" will be coming in a Hoop.la update very soon. I don't know if that will be just for computer users or if it will also be for the mobile version.

That particular thread is specifically for non-mobile users. However, I'm pretty sure they are going to make the "Jump to Bottom" actually take you to the last post, and soon.
