Final day of my four day weekend!

  • Rose in my own good time today to find that snow was falling - pleasant surprise.
  • Had a long hot bath whilst watching snow flakes dance outside my window.
  • Having a breakfast of one slice of toast, beans and an egg. Accompanied by a glass of pomegranate, blueberry & acai smoothie.
  • Continuing the day by having a sedate stroll in the fresh snow filled air.
  • Taking in a coffee shop, drinking my coffee outside in the snow.
  • Quick browse round HMV for some CD's and blu-rays.
  • Planning a nice salad in the evening.

I have kept to most of the above today except, there was no outside seating today (probably cos of the weather ). Yes MrsH, the wind is a bit cold and strong here too.

Had a browse round HMV, but nothing took my fancy, so bought a couple of pairs of work trousers instead.

My Son is a very organised person   he had a long weekend too so decided on shopping - couldnt get what he wanted but apparently bought for Mothers Day - my Birthday for later in the month -  Dad's birthday for May and Fathers day for June and bought a groupon short break away in April and booked a camping car weekend event at Silverstone for July

problem is he possibly wont remember where he has put his purchases when he needs to wrap

Yes, buying those trousers did make me think that my four day break is nearing the end. I have managed to have mostly relaxing time, doing some things I wanted to do and getting the odd chore in there as well.

Your son does sound very organised indeed. When it comes to events like you describe I am a last minute man normally

Huge HMV 2for1 sale predicted for Fri On ALL blue cross items (incl Bose)

Starts Fri

HMV emailed customers saying it's running a huge 2for1 on "blue cross" items in-store from next Monday. Yet we've been tipped off its likely to be brought forward to this Friday, 15 Mar 2013.

Details are scant, and everything's a bit hush-hush at the moment, but what we do know is thateverything with a "blue cross" sticker will be included. Obviously, the cheapest item will be free.

Many items within the blue cross sale are already at least 20% off. On our visit, we saw masses of products including DVDs, books, headphones and computer games/accessories. We even saw a pair of Bose speakers (see picture below - these are rarely reduced) down to ÂĢ143.99 (ÂĢ199 originally) - 2for1 on those would be huge!

Of course, we have no idea how good this will be overall - but wanted to tip you off so you can check it out if it's good for you.

This sale may only be in selected stores, so consider ringing ahead if you're making a special trip.

Thanks MrH,

I received the email and was going to post in the "Voucher, Offers and Bargains" thread, but forgot.

I will be making my way there as I have my eye on a few blue cross items
