I'm so sorry to hear your news, Ricky. Coping with bereavement is hard enough when the person dies a natural death but, when they're snatched away like that, it so very much harder to comprehend or accept.

That's awful, Ricky. It must all be very fresh at the moment. One thing I would say is that, if you need support, do try to find some bereavement counselling in your area. I work for an agency that offers it and I know it can help.

That is so tragic. May the mother and daughter rest and peace and may their family and friends find some consolation in time. These are terrible dark days.

How awful.. My neighbour over the road has died,he was a pensioner with that smoking lung disease (Empysemia)sp.His wife ,another heavy smoker died 8 years ago.very sad,

My father in law died of that a couple of years ago. He was only 64 but looked 20 years older. Horrible disease.

My next door neighbour has stopped smoking ,he has empysemia,he now knows the results of it.Never too old to stop smoking!

Well at least the older folk maybe believed that smoking wasn't that bad for them.

and this kinda puts things into perspective.

I attended a 10yr olds funeral late last year, a classmate of my sons. She died of muscular dystrophy (sp?), so we knew it was coming, but it was still a shock. Tiny white coffin, with Rule the World by Take That playing... *eyesfillingupsmilie*.

I can't say be strong, cos I'm choked just remembering it.
