Nah, nowt like that. It was at uni. We were being a bit silly i guess, then i found out the slag was also doing 'friends with benefits' with other guys. I kinda stop showing an interest.

Yes I had a 'friend with benefits'. It was great, didn't turn into love, but was just what we both needed for a couple of years.

Personally, no, never done that. I know people who have though and it never ends well; the lasses have been fine with it but the lads end up in love, even proposing, and eventually heartbroken!

There's always the risk of one party wanting/hoping for more and getting hurt.

 

Not saying it can't work and if it does... great, I think communication is important and that all involved know where they stand.

I was a child of the late sixties/eaarly seventies but .................i alwaqys kept my hand on me halfpenny. Only one partner before my husband ...............and none since

Maybe i should reiterate. We both called each other 'slags' at the time. It was a joke way of trying to around the awkwardness of it all.

it goes back to misunderstanding the concept then Rawky.. and you didn;t say in your original post that you both called each other slags. it shouldn't be awkward tis just as was said earlier,  a mutual booty call  with no strings attached .. maybe done with a nod to each other when leaving a club or a lets go out have some fun and finish off the night with a bit of rumpy pumpy..  the minute it becomes awkward is the minute it has become more than just a casual thing 

True, we were young and at Uni. There was more of a 'pity' thing to it at the time as I thought neither of us were having much luck at Uni.  And without turning this into a sob story i guess i thought more of it then she did.

 

Plus there were a few other factors that came into it, again not wanting this to turn into an X Factor Audition plea.
