Spot on Fluffy.  Never thought this statement would come out of my mouth ~ but nobody does it like the BBC.  It goes without saying that Virginia Wade got right up my nose.

Oh yes, Wade is terrible.

I do miss some aspects of the BBC commentary, but on ITV, the absence of Andrew Castle is a blessing. Sometimes I have to mute the TV when he's in the commentary box at Wimbledon.

Jim Courier and Mark Petchey can at least give the viewer a sense of the tennis world, and the technicalities of play without needing a screen in front of them feeding them statistics to fill dead air.

Just checked the order of play for tomorrow, looking forward to Djokovic and Tsonga respectively(they're not playing each other).

I follow Andy Murray and Caroline Wozniacki at all the Grand Slams.

Still hopeful that one of them will eventually win one........

This Belgian guy that Federer is playing looks like a wee boy!

Oh, by the way, once BB gets underway we can have this thread moved to the Sports Forum, if it looks like it's getting lost amongst the BB associated threads.

I think Murray definitely will at some stage, he's gained a lot in mentality in the past year or so and Lendl has been good for him as well.

Not sure about Wozniacki though.

Thanks Fluffy, when does BB start? I'm not up to speed with it anymore. Maybe I'll take a look but the lack of live feed has stunted my interest in it.

I'm watching Djokovic, he's having a shocker at the moment, 2 sets to 1 down against 22nd seed Seppi.

Just caught a glimpse of the Fed match, his opponent does look like a kid, but seems fearless against the great Federer!

Been out gardening, but see Djokovic has managed to win his match.

It's Tsonga v Wawrinka now. I expect this to be a really good hard match - which probably means that one of them will win in 3 straight sets and without much of a struggle!

Another potentially long hard match comming up, del Potro v Berdych.

Tsonga v Wawrinka goes into a 5th set and there's a question over whether one of them or the light will fail first.

Play suspended in the Berdych/del Potro match. del Potro leads by 2 sets to 1.

Yep, bad light stops play in the Tsonga/Wawrinka match too.

Why do we constantly go through this potential scenario every year in every tournament?

If they just started each day's play a bit earlier, maybe about 2 hours earlier, then there would be little likelyhood of the last match running out of light.

If all matches were to go to full distance then we might still occasionally have the last one running out of light, but the occurrence of these interrupted matches would be fewer and further between.

Both suspended matches will resume as the second matches on Philip Chartrier (Tsonga/Wawrinka) and Suzanne Lenglen (del Potro/Berdych).

Doesn't look like it'll be too long before we see the resumption of the Tsonga/Wawrinka match as Ferrer has won the first set against Granollers (both Spanish) 6-3

Mind you, that's twice now hes lost game point on Granollers' serve - 1st game 2nd set.

Won it on 3rd asking though.

Ferrer serving for the 2nd set now at 5-2.

And wins easily - I think there'll only be one set more to play in this match.

I think Granollers' aim now is just not to lose the last set to love.

Looking less and less likely now as Ferrer's 3-0 having broken Granollers twice.

Think Granollers is just going to have to settle for at least having woe some points.

Granollers' best so far is ADVANTAGE on the Ferrer serve. Shame he lost it. He's 4-0 down in the 3rd set.

And now it's 5-0 down and Ferrer is serving for the match.

(We missed most of those last two games because of ITV's stupid advert breaks)

Now they have spent the whole of the time between the last ad break and this one just talking and talking. Not one single hint of actual play. Do they not realise there are other matches still being played?

And now we join the Tsonga/Wawrinka match mid-game!

And once again we missed most (if not all) of the end of the Tsonga match because of the ads.

Women's singles, Cibulkova (15) v Stosur (6) and Errani (21) v Kerber (10), first on both show courts today, then Djokovic (1) v Tsonga (5) on Philippe Chatrier and Federer (3) v del Potro (9) Suzanne Lenglen

Well, well, well, Are we in for a big shock?

Del Potro leads Federer by 2 sets to one and Tsonga leads Djokavic also by 2 sets to one.

Federer takes the 4th set. so they're into a fifth set now...this could be a long evening.

Federer is now 4-1 in the final set. Is it all over for del Potro?

Tsonga almost won the match there, by BREAKING the Djokovic serve, but Djokovic managed to hang on. Tsonga then won his own serve, so Djokovic is again serving to stay in the match.

Once again Djokovic manages to hang on and it now 6 - 6

Tie-breaker and Djokovic takes an immediate 2-0 lead, but Tsonga takes the next 3.

Tsonga leads 3-2.

And he's bkoken Djokovic again. 4-2 Tsonga

Now Djokovic  breaks back and Tsonga breaks again and ....I'm losing track, bt it's 6 all with Tsonga to serve.

Djokovic takes that point and serves for the set. Mistake by Tsonga and Djokovic takes the match into a 5th set.

Djokovic 3-0 in final set, but it's by no means a walkoveer.

Oh dear, looks like curtains soon for Tsonga, 1-5 down in the final set.

So, both Federer and Djokovic get through to the semi-finals, where apparently they will face each other.

That means the other semi will be Nadal/Murray, assuming they both get through their quarter-finals.

Murray (4) will play Ferrer (6) and Nadal (2) will play Almagro (12)

Sounds like I missed a couple of riveting matches today! Lots of 5-setters in this French Open so far!

It was indeed riveting.

The women's matches went as to be expected:- Stosur and Errani through.

One would think it would be Nadal/Murray for the other semi. but Murray is playing the number 6 seed Ferrer, who has been playing some pretty good tennis.

And even the Nadal match may not be all that easy. On paper it should be 'no contest' because we are looking at seed 2 playing seed 12, but we have to take into account the fact that the number 12 seed beat the number 8 seed.

Personally I think it will be a Nadal/Federer final.
