I agree.
He has been quite laid back and philisophical about Lisa in recent weeks, on one occasion saying words to the effect that Lisa was always scheming, but he that would almost be dissapointed if she was'nt!. The other night he told Bea that there were gameplans involved in nominations, but that 'its all good' all rock n' roll!'
I feel it is the fact that Bea was up and that Dave and Lisa were obviously pleased by this that set him off. He got a little carried away, but I feel that he was entitled to blow off a little steam in there!

If I can just comment on the last bit of your post. Freddie is not "keeping up a hippy persona" Freddie is Freddie. That IS how he is. He is not acting (Charlie does enough of that) but simply being himself. And yes, shock horror, he occasionally lets rip with his feelings after weeks of attack from his opponent. He is different, but considering the amount of general animosity he has to endure I believe that he has shown remarkable forbearance.
