Squiggle, I bought a foam matress topper which is king size and covers the whole bed.  With that in place you cannot feel it's two beds put together and if they need to be separated at a later date the topper can be cut down the middle; therefore no waste of money!!  It's a "boxed" foam topper which means it doesn't make you hot when you lay on it; and it doesn't.  As regards my countdown, 18 weeks from tomorrow I will be out on the English Channel starting off on our adventure.  Probably won't be back later so I will catch up again tomorrow.  I'm not sure how this post will come out.  I seem to be missing the paragraphs as I type but don't know if they will turn up when I post.  We will see!!! 

So I've got no paragraphs at all!!!

Update on the greenhouse. Sons have completed it. 
It has been washed down and the growbags are in. The staging arrives tomorrow and then the plants are going in. I hope to grow three different types of tomatoes, as well as chillies, sweet peppers and cucumbers.

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining and I'm off to water my plants

Good morning to all my very noble forum friends.    I am very sad to be the only commoner left!!  Do you think El Loro would also invest me with a title (a nice one I hope)?

I had the most wonderful day out on the boat yesterday.  The sun was shining, it was hot but there was a nice sea breeze to cool me down.  We had lunch and wine out on the water and then hubby took me for a meal when we got back to the marina.  Not my normal Friday routine but great nevertheless.  Didn't get back until late so I could not post last night.

Yogi, glad to hear the planting has gone so well.  We will all (hopefully) be tasting the produce of your efforts before too long.  Fresh fruit and veggies; you cannot do any better.

Squiggle, I certainly hope we get at least a few reasonable contestants.  It will be so sad if this last BB goes out with a whimper rather than a bang.  I suppose we will just have to be patient and wait and see who gets dished up for our loving or loathing.

Your day out on the boat sounds absolutely lovely, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I've checked and watered the plants, and they are all looking good at the moment. Eldest son gave me a couple of early lettuces from his vegetable patch, and they were so fresh and crisp.

I realised that Joyron hadn't been ennobled by me yet, but I was waiting for her request which has now come. However before that, I have to think about my own position as I've been dubbing you and squiggle but as a VIP. Now I'm not going to make myself King because I could find myself in the Tower of London on high treason charges, and as much as I love our Lady High Executioner Lori, I'm not ready to have my head chopped off So I have thought about this and have decided that the VIP could stand for Viscount Impersonating Parrot.

So that brings me to Joyron. Unfortunately, as much as I would like to, in British order of peerage Duchess is more senior than Viscount. So in order to be correct I have to do this:

Watch out for a parrot landing on your boat one day

I know Figtree hasn't posted since April which was before I made any postings here, but looking back at her postings, there may be a less sinister reason for her absence than illness. It looks as if she was being inundated by emails from Livecloud - she refers at one point in having received 100,000 and a subsequent post as having since received 17,000 emails. I think her profile settings must have been set in such a way that she was receiving notification for every single blog or forum posting being made as that is the only thing which could account for that sort of number. She did say that if this was to continue she would stop using the forum altogether, so it's possible that that is what has happened. Anyway, as with the rest of you I hope she is OK.

It is certainly possible that this is the reason why Figtree hasn't been around. I remember advising her how to change her settings - which she did, but the e-mails kept coming.

Personally I think it might be better if LC had an 'opt in' system for email notifications, heaven knows how many people might have been deterred by emails flooding their system.

Please feel free, but please let me know it's you so that I can provide the appropriate refreshments for such an important visitor. 

I've read the comments regarding Figtree and whilst I sincerely hope these are right I'm afraid I feel her serious illness has had more to do with it.  I am more than happy to be proved wrong. 

Probably won't be back again tonight but I look forward to catching up with all our important participants tomorrow (that sounds good doesn't it?)
