Aww Squiggle, get well soon.

I am doing lots of greenhouse planning. 
Eldest son is growing lettuces, beetroot and spring onions in his garden, and I'll be growing tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse - between us, we'll make a nice salad.

My boiler has almost now been installed, so I may get some hot water soon. Unfortunately my broadband connection is behaving very badly these last few days and I can only get a connection for a very short period of time (sometimes only a few seconds - just about enough to do emails and the odd posting.

Keep up the planning Yogi.  I hope you are going to bring some of your greenhouse produce round to us Fredsters to try!!

Sorry, forgot to say, El Loro I'm glad all is going well with the plumbing.  Hope you get the broadband sorted out soon.  We live out in the sticks and our broadband connection is not always reliable!!

I've had one of those busy mornings where I don't seem to have achieved very much.

Joyron, it's good that you are having a peaceful weekend, enjoy it while you can.

I'm trying to get back in 'our' bedroom to sleep.  No little pixies or elves have appeared overnight so I'm doing a bit at a time, thanks for caring though .  Finished all the heavy stuff.  The last remaining top half of wardrobe (its two separate halves, the bottom half rolls in but the top half has to be lifted) will have to wait until two strapping grandsons appear. Its mostly ferrying clothes about now. I have a huge cutoff of carpet, 6' x 6 and a half.

Son has spent the afternoon layng some slabs for the base for the greenhouse. Weather permitting, it will be assembled tomorrow or Wednesday. I can't wait to get started.
Joyron, I hope you manage to sign in later on. Is it your broadband which is playing up, or is it the site?
Squiggle, I hope you are feeling better today. Remember, take it easy for a while.

I am now able to have the luxury of hot water so I'm back to my sweet-smelling self
Though as my boiler is being tested I have to have the central heating on for 4 hours each day which means that because the house is well insulated in order to trigger the thermostat on I have to set it somewhat higher than I prefer. But the boiler men are due to come back tomorrow to finish it off.
Then on to the next job - the rest of the double glazing. The only problem with that is that for 2 days the house will be full of glue fumes which make me a but under the weather and give me mild nosebleeds.

Hello on a persistently wet day - it's is the first day of June so what else would you expect

The boiler men are back to finish off their work - they are cleaning out the pipework and based on the water they have been draining off, it needs it - the water is black. That's the water in the radiators, not the hot water system.

Oh, and my roof man paid a surprise visit - he's going to do the rear flat roof work tomorrow - I think it's not a resurfacing job and hopefully will be quite quick.

El Loro, I take my hat off to you. I think I would have gone into meltdown if I'd had all that work done to my house. You have coped brilliantly with it all.

Afternoon everyone.    It's been pouring with rain here all morning.  Forecasters say it will be better tomorrow, and getting hotter Thursday and Friday.  Sorry to hear the greenhouse worked has come to a standstill at the moment Yogi.  El Loro you certainly seem to be keeping very busy with the house renovations.

Hubby has only just gone off to work so I couldn't get here earlier!!  Hope to catch up again later.

The weather forecast is good for tomorrow, so my sons are going to assemble the greenhouse then. However, eldest son was reading the plans today and said they lack detail - so it might be a bit tricky.

Yogi you might need to be on standby to be a calming soothing influence for tomorrow if my family's experience is anything to go by.  My husband rarely lost his temper but putting together a bedroom suite from MFI, well you can imagine.  Plenty of tea or whatever the favourite tipple is advisable.  Hope all goes well.
