Good morning everyone.  Yogi and Joyron you are 2 very special people and I am proud that we can meet on this forum.  No wonder you both liked lovely Freddie because he was special and so are you.  Hello also to Ozzycam if they pop in and Renton too, Han and of course Figgers (we miss you hon) and anyone I have forgotten

Squiggle, thank you so much for your kind words. It's always a pleasure to come into this thread and chat with you too, you are a lovely lady. I love my Freddie friends.
Joyron, you have a big heart and remind me of my mum and my best friend, who are the loveliest people I know. I thought your user name might have been a combination of your name and your hubby's name, so I was on the right track, but I'll need to get my thinking cap on to guess your name now.

I have a little springtime story for you. For ten years, I have had a bird table in my garden, and the roof is actually a nest box for tiny birds. This year (for the very first time) a pair of blue tits are building a nest in it. I have been watching them toing and froing with little bits of twigs and moss - they are really brave and chase the other birds away when they want to enter the nest box. My only concern is that it may be so "busy" at the bird table that they may not be able to successfully rear chicks. It's lovely watching them though.

Still no news of Figtree?

I'm off to the nurse this morning for my monthly blood tests but I'll be back later.

Thank you for your kind words Squiggle.  Like Yogi I love being able to come into this thread everyday and have a chat with like minded people.  I too love all my Freddie friends.

Squiggle, I don't feel that special.  I think with our generation we did what was expected of us and that was caring for our parents.  My husband is an only child and if we had not looked after them then who would?  It was 10 years of our lives but only a moment compared to what they did for us.

Yogi, again we have another thing in common.  I love watching the birds too.  We have a robin couple that have lived in our garden ever since we moved here.  My husband's father used to watch them from his wheelchair and now every time we see them we are reminded of him.  They always seem to be very visible around significant dates on the calendar.

I'll give you a couple of clues with my name.  It starts with the letter "P" and has eight letters; although it's normally shortened to three.  Any help??

Hope all goes well with the blood tests.  I'm off to the shops shortly.  Will catch up again later.

I also have a blue tit nesting, he's chosen our guttering just outside my patio doors - I have made a mental note to ask my grandsons to remove the nest once the fledglings have safely hatched in case of blocking the guttering.  The parents have been so busy, they have been gathering nesting material for days now, I keep seeing them with little dried grass moustaches - so sweet.  Ha ha Joyron our name is the same!  I have always been called a 5 letter shortening though, check out my photobucket account

I won't mention my name until after Yogi's had a guess but I'm assuming your's ends "sy"; or am I completely off the mark.  If we do have the same name then this is all becoming very spooky.  I suppose that's why we all get on so well; we are just so similar!!

I wouldn't know how to get into your photbucket account I'm afraid.  Just not good at things like that.
Joyron
Well what a day of relevations this is turning out to be.  Time to get back into the thread now, although it's great to know we can PM each other whenever we want to.

Squiggle, if you are a bit confused by our messages above, Yogi did get our name right, she then told me her name which turns out to be very similar to my middle name; different spelling and pronunciation but the same in essence.

Will catch up again later.

Just heard that my No.2 son (who has had Hodgkins Lymphoma) has received the all clear at his latest checkup.  He's been clear for nearly three years now!!

My husband has arrived home but he's gone out on his bike for a training run.  His company are doing a sponsored bike ride from Colchester Barracks to the Wellington Barracks near Buckingham Palace (about 60 miles) towards the end of May in aid of "Help the Heroes".

Possibly may not get back again tonight but if I don't I will catch up with you all tomorrow.
Joyron
Joyron, that's wonderful news about your No2 son, you must all be so relieved.

The mention of Colchester Barracks makes me all nostalgic. Help For Heroes is one of my favourite charities, my house is full of their notepads, tea towels, china mugs, shopping bags etc etc - and my hubby and sons wear the wristbands, too.
I applaud your hubby and his colleagues for their efforts.

Renton, don't let this week's weight gain knock you off course. Keep to your plan and I'm sure you'll make good progress next week. Just remember you are doing really well.

Afternoon Yogi.   I am fine today; thank you for asking.  The sun is still shining and it's hot, but it's due to get a lot colder by the weekend!!

Still no news from Figtree.  I wonder what has happened to her.  Now that I know how to do it I think I might leave her a PM just incase she comes to the site sometime.  Don't see anything else we can do!!

Hope to catch up later but that depends on what time hubby gets in.
Joyron
