Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I am still stuck in Krakow. The airline has put us up in an hotel, which is fine but I can't get a flight home until Sunday - and hubby's flight isn't until Monday. They said we would have to wait until Wednesday if we insisted on flying together. I have never flown on my own, so I must admit I am more than a little bit nervous.
However, we are better off than some people who have been given flights for next Friday. Who would have thought a little bit of volcanic ash could bring eveything to a standstill?

Squiggle, I wish I could hop on your Freddie plane and fly home tonight.
Justa (Han) I'm really pleased you have been spending time with RAF man, we did miss you.
Figtree, I am sorry you have been so ill. Take good care of yourself and get your specialist to sort things out for you, or my hubby says he'll come down there and have a word with him, on your behalf.
Joyron, thank you for worrying about me, I hope to be back with you all very soon.
Sending you all hugs and kisses.xxxxxxx

Its been nice to have everyone posting.  Aww Yogi I feel like you've been kidnapped   We will all be thinking of you when you are flying home.  Just be brave hun, we will be so proud of you.  Figgers, still in my thoughts, don't settle for less than a thorough answer here, I feel that us Freddsters are getting ready to make a group visit to your doctor if he don't pull his (or her) finger out

squiggle
Good morning to all my lovely Freddie friends.  Hope this finds you well.

Squiggle, I agree with you it's nice when everyone manages to post.  It's just a pity we don't often all get here at the same time.  Still it's nice to return to the thread every now and then and see what someone has added.

Yogi, I hope all goes well and you get back to us as soon as possible.  We are lost without you!!  I'm sure you will be fine flying alone.  That's saying something from someone who won't go near a plane!!

Figtree, please take care of yourself and keep pushing for answers.  As Squiggle says we will be round at your doctors (as a group of musketeers) if things don't get sorted pretty quickly.

Han, pleased to hear than your RAF man is not going into any dangerous places for a while.

Hope to catch up again later.
Joyron
Hello everyone, this will probably be my last post until I get back home.
They have cancelled my flight tomorrow (in fact all charter flights to and from Krakow have been cancelled), so a group of British people have got together and hired a coach to take us to London, and then we will make our way back to Scotland.
We had been warned it could be the end of next week before we got another flight, so decided we needed to take action ourselves. I'm not looking forward to 24 hours on a coach, but it will be better than sitting around here, twiddling our thumbs.
It may be as late as Tuesday before I can post again but I will be thinking of you all.

Evening all.   I hope Yogi (and husband) don't find it too hard on the coach.  I think they made the right decision to try and get themselves home.  Seems like no one else will do it for them!!!

Figtree, we have not heard from you today.  I hope you are okay.  If you can, please sign in and tell us that all is going okay.
Joyron
Good morning Squiggle.  Another lovely picture.  Hope you are doing okay today.

I'm thinking about all our lovely friends.  Yogi, hope the trips going okay.  Figtree, really would love to hear from you that you are managing okay.  Han, hope you are doing alright without your lovely RAF man.

Will (hopefully) catch up again later.  Love you all.
Joyron
Evening Squiggle.  Hope you are right and Han and Figtree are taking in the rays.

I keep wondering where Yogi has got to.  We don't actually know what time she set out on the journey home so we are somewhat in the dark.  She did say it might be Tuesday before we heard from her.  Hope all is going well.

Signing out for the night.  Hopefully we won't be on page 2 tomorrow, but if we are no doubt you or I will rescue the thread at some time.  Love you.  Nite nite.
Joyron
Nice to see someone else in the thread.  I don't think I've spoken to you before Renton but I'm glad to meet you.  Sorry to be nosy but are you male or female??

It's been very quiet in here.  Yogi has been stranded in Poland but we are hoping she will be back some time tomorrow (if all has gone well).  We are worried about Figtree as she has been very unwell (see her previous posts) and we've not heard from her for quite a while.  Squiggle and I have been trying to keep the thread going but it's great to see another face (so to speak).
Joyron
Hello Joy hun xxx
I am male, 25, i'm a care worker for people with disabilities but lately i was moved to a new place working with ex-offenders in the community - which i hate.
I work nightshifts and been around since CH4 days and was previously called Saint*555 and Lost*Soul .. i was quite good friends with Astoria, Sheryl18 and Jodie.

Now come and join us on the "Coach Trip/CDWM" thread
Saint
Thanks for the response Renton.  I'm not familiar with any of the names you mention.

I have dipped in and out of the CT/CDWM thread.  I SO want those horrible boys to go.  I've also been following your diet thread.  Hope all is going well for you with that.  My No. 1 son had a gastric bypass operation (for medical reasons apart from anything else) last October and has lost around 12 stone since then.  When I say he is a shadow of his former self I am not telling fibs!!!

Hope to catch up with you in this, and other threads, at some time.
Joyron
Not heard from you since this morning Squiggle.  Hope all is well with you.  I'm sure you have plenty of other things going on in your life other than posting on here!!!  I probably would not be here otherwise but my husband will be late home this evening so I have some free time.

If I don't get back tonight I will catch up with you again tomorrow, when hopefully Yogi might join us at some time.
Joyron
Nice to hear from you Squiggle.  Glad to hear you've had a good time with your grandsons today.  That's what RL is all about.

Probably won't be back later (once hubby gets home) but I will catch up with you tomorrow.  I REALLY hope that Yogi has managed to get back home but bearing in mind we have not heard from her I fear her journey may have been more complicated than she at first thought.

If I don't catch up with you later this evening then  until tomorrow.
Joyron
Hello everyone, I am pleased to announce I am back in the UK.
Along with 53 other stranded passengers, we began a 24 hour journey through Poland, Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. A 30 minute trip through the Channel Tunnel (not great for a claustraphobic person like me) and we were back in Britain. Luckily we managed to secure the final two seats on an overnight coach from London to Glasgow, and got back home this morning. We are exhausted but delighted to be back.
Hope to catch up with everyone later.

Good morning everyone.Hope you are all well on this bright, sunny morning.
I've been catching up on the washing and managed to get it out on the line.

Justa, glad you are okay, is RAF man still in the UK?

Figtree, I am concerned that you haven't posted for a few days. I'm thinking of you and hope all is well.

Squiggle and Joyron, you deserve medals for keeping this thread running, you are real troopers.  Squiggle, today's pic is really sweet, I love it.

Renton, it's good to see you in the Freddie thread again, don't be a stranger.

Hello to all my lovely Freddie friends.   Hope this finds you well.

Loved the picture Squiggle.  Isn't it great to see our dear friends back.

Yogi, you were up and about early this morning.  I thought you would be having a lie in after all the travelling you have had to do.  It really is good to have you back with us.

Figtree, please try and post to let us know you are okay.  We are all getting very worried about you now.

Will catch up again later.
Joyron
Afternoon Yogi and Squiggle.  You certainly have been busy with the laundry Yogi.

Was the journey back okay or a real ordeal?  Would like to know about your adventure.

The situation regarding travel seems to be getting worse and worse.  I bet you are glad to be out of that and back safely in your own home.

Hope to catch up later.

Way to go Yogi, there is obviously no stopping our intrepid traveller. Barnstorming across Europe, up with the lark powering through the laundry
You can't keep us Brits down, we're made of strong stuff.

The 24 hour coach trip across Europe wasn't too bad. It was a luxury coach and had a toilet onboard. The two Polish drivers made regular stops so we could freshen up and get some food to eat. There was a real feeling of camaraderie between the stranded passengers and we were upbeat until we reached the Channel Tunnel when they told us we didn't have a slot booked for crossing (a booking had been made for us but there was a mix-up). Fortunately, we were able to sort things out and our coach was put on the next train. We were all cheering by this point.
Another couple of hours on the coach and then we arrived in London.
When we arrived at London's Victoria Station, the ticket office was closed and we were told we couldn't board a coach without tickets. However, a kindly "Controller" said we could pay on the coach if he had any seats available, once pre-booked passengers were seated. When he said he had two seats left and we could get on the coach, I was so relieved I could have kissed him. Then we had another 8 hour journey back to Glasgow, followed by a taxi ride home.
In total, we had been travelling for almost 34 hours. We were pretty tired but I can't tell you how fantastic it was to be home.
Anyway, I am hoping that I won't be having any more holiday adventures for a very long time.

Joyron, I saw your post about Paul's continuing weight loss ^^^^. He has done so well and the amount he has lost is fantastic. I am sure he must feel so much better, both physically and emotionally and he should be really proud of his achievement. I applaud him for taking control of his life and turning things around.
