Good morning everyone.   It's another lovely day here today.  Hubby went off on his boat first thing so it should be a good day for him too.

Off to the shops later.  Number 1 son will be here all weekend helping to finish off the decorating in the utility room (hopefully).  Once we've done that there's only one more room to do, before a big tidy up, and then the house should be able to go on the market.

Hope to catch up with you all later.

Morning Squiggle.   No we don't plan on moving any great distance.  The main reason for moving at all is because the house is just far too big for the two of us.  We don't plan on looking for a new place until this one is sold.  We might move into rented accommodation for a few months if necessary.  That's the plan anyway.

Hope to catch up with you again later.

Hello everyone. Hubby decided to take the day off work, without giving me any warning, so this is my first chance to call in here today. He's gone to pick up the dog from the groomers. She's been there for two and a half hours so I'm expecting her to return with a perm and highlights.
Joyron, you really are getting on well with your decorating, you have worked your little socks off.
Hope to catch up with everyone later.

Good afternoon to all my lovely Freddie friends.   Hope this finds you well.  The sun is shining again and it's been a wonderful day so far.

Yogi, I hope you enjoy your trip away.  I'm still counting the days down until my cruise in October!!

I'm pleased to be able to report that the Utility room is now finished.  It looks so clean and fresh and is painted in a lovely sunshine yellow.  One more room to go (thank goodness).

Probably won't get back later but if I don't I'll catch up with you all again tomorrow.

Good afternoon everyone. It's a beautiful sunny day up here.
Most of my packing is done, and I've cleaned and tidied throughout the house. I've washed and ironed everything and made sure the fridge and freezer is stocked up. With a bit of luck, my sons should manage without me until Friday.
Hubby is taking his laptop to Krakow, so I am hoping I'll be able to sign on (as long as I can get a connection). If not, I should be back with you on Friday night.

Just popped in to say hi and goodbye.  Yogi I hope you have a wonderful time away.  I'm sure your sons will be fine without you being there.  Cannot speak for the clearing up you may have to do when you get back.

It will be great if we get to hear from you in Krakow, but even if we don't we will be thinking about you and looking forward to your description of your "escapades" whilst you were away!!!

Afternoon 3 musketeers.  Squiggle and Figtree, if it's okay with you, I will be Portos (I'm a bit portly so the title fits!!)  All for one and one for all.

Yogi will be so proud of us keeping the thread going when she gets back, or miffed if she manages to connect to us while she is away and is missing all the fun!!

Figtree you can borrow my No.1 son anytime.  We looked back at some old photos of him over the weekend and the difference in him is amazing; much more so than we see from day to day.  I have been looking forward to this cruise since I booked it in April 09!!  Booking it so early we basically got a "2 for 1" deal.  Booked a suite etc, but I'll tell you all about it nearer the time (if I haven't already bored you all to death).

I will try my very best to get back again this evening to give the thread a bump.

Evening Squiggle.  All this decorating is very tiring.  We had hoped to put the house on the market after Easter but it looks like it will be June time now.  There is still so much to do to make the place "acceptable" for the market.

I wonder if Yogi will manage to get on line from her holiday hotel.  It would be great to hear from her but I suppose she will have lots of other things on her mind (apart from us).

I'm loathe to ask this (and if it's too touchy then just ignore me) but you did speak a while back about having to move.  Is that still the case or are you staying where you are now?  Please, please, please if I'm treading on eggs please tell me and I will go away!!!
Joyron
Joyron, I'm pleased that you remembered, oh no I am happy for you to ask.  I did feel that I would maybe have to move, couldn't afford to stay in the house we both loved, but I am so pleased to say that, so far, I am staying.  I love it here and I know how much our lovely view meant to my sweetheart so it is a real joy for me to be here, which was our dream, and to see that view every time I look out of the window.

I am saving like mad, first to decorate our bedroom - I am sleeping in the back bedroom at the moment - so that I can move back in (too many memories to move in now, it will be better when its all freshened up and it really needs it too),  and of course have a fund to pay for a new car when I need it.  My lovely little car is running well but of course it is 20 years old and I don't want to be left without a car if this one develops problems.

Just popped in to say nite nite.  Squiggle, I am so pleased that it looks as though you will be able to stay in the home which you both loved so much.  I understand the need you feel to redecorate and I'm sure you will create lots of new memories, which I'm sure you will still be sharing with your lovely husband.

Will catch up again tomorrow.  So pleased I didn't upset you by asking.

Hello Musketeers, Karakow calling.
It's lovely here. The weather isn't too bad and the people are friendly. We are hoping to book a trip to Auschwitz for Wednesday or Thursday. I really want to go there but I am dreading it at the same time.
Glad you three are keeping things going while I'm away. I am missing you all but I will be back by Friday evening. Hubby is on IE and most of the smilies are misssing, so I can't post any hugs and kisses but you know I am sending them anyway.
Hope to log in tomorrow or Thursday. Take care, byeeee!

Yogi!! Lovely to hear from you. I applaud you going to Auschwitz, I think it will be incredibly moving and I know I speak for the other Freddsters when I say I feel as if we will all be with you in spirit, holding your hand

Have a great time on all the exciting things to see and places to visit, and I look forward to hearing all about it on Friday.

Good morning to all, and joyron, thank you .

Good morning fellow musketeers.   Lovely to see you here.  The weather is sunny again but the wind is rather bitter.

Yogi, it is great that you managed to visit us from your holiday hotel.  I agree with Squiggle, we will be holding your hand when you make your visit to Auschwitz.  I too would like to visit there.  Hope you are getting lots of lovely meals cooked for you.  We all look forward to your "report" when you get back.

Figtree, I often find our thread on page 2 and if you post in it then it comes back to page 1 (where it should be all the time of course).  I have most of my clothes for the cruise.  We have been a couple of times before and I buy a few extra things each time.  This year is a special trip as it will be our 40th wedding anniversary whilst we are away and we are going back to Rome, where I tossed a coin in the Trevi Fountain when I was about 12 years old.

Hope to catch up with you all again later on today.
Joyron
I usually pop in and out joyron so I will bump to keep it on page 1 if it starts slipping.  Your trip sounds wonderful and I shall hang on your every word when you tell us about all the places on your itinerary, and all the people you meet on the cruise too.  Its something I have always been attracted to but I don't suppose I will do it now.
