Afternoon everyone.  Still raining here.  Hopefully the weekend will be better.

Hope you are all okay.  Sorry to hear about your internet going down Yogi.  It sure would be nice to take in some of those rays Figtree!!  Seems I did not know my own strength Squiggle.  I'll need to rest up after all that hard work.

Hope to catch up again later.  Probably won't be about much over the weekend.  Got to get back to the decorating.

hello everyone first im gonna say happy mothers day to all you mums out there, hope youre looked after sunday, its my mums 50th birthday on mothers day, and my sister is 25 next week so we have planned a joint party for mum and sis for the 20th, its got my little brain working overtime, and id like it to be good for mum. me and sis have bought mum a laptop, (had to be something a bit special didnt it). ive bought sis a red digital camera only a cheap one though.
we have a disco and food planned and theres a bar at the place where we hired the room. the dj asked us to think of music mum likes so im thinkig about that now. do i go for 60s music as she was born 1960 or 70s when shes in her teens thats the question. Want him to play music we can all dance too right im rambling now, time to stop.

Justa, I will be the same age as your mum, later this month. I would go for the 70's music for the disco, with a few 60's tracks thrown in for good measure. It sounds like you have planned a lovely party for your mum and I'm sure she will love the laptop. Hope you all have a wonderful time, and I wish your mum and sister a very Happy Birthday.

Happy Mothers Day everyone, and for those who have lost their mothers I hope all your memories are tender loving and precious.
Lovely sentiments, Squiggle.

Joyron, I am looking forward to hearing all about your wonderful day.

I had a really nice day, spent the morning with my fabulous mum, and have had my three sons and DiL with me this afternoon.

Good morning to all my lovely Freddie friends.  I hope this finds you well.  Squiggle, to answer your question I've not had to sign in when returning to site (not yet anyway).

Yogi, it seems as though you've caught the clearing out bug from me!!  Figtree, I've got snowdrops and crocuses out in my garden and I'm counting the days down until the first daffodil flowers.  I cannot wait.

I had a wonderful day yesterday.  My number 2 son knocked at the door at 7.30 am.  He'd travelled from his home in Brighton to spend the day with me and I knew nothing about him coming.  My number 1 son arrived later and I was taken shopping to get some bits and pieces I wanted for my new kitchen.  I had a roast dinner cooked for me and they even did the washing up.  All in all it was a lovely day and I'm so glad to have two such wonderful sons to do these little things for me.

I hope everyone else had just as great a day as me.  It was also of course a day for remembering both my husband's and my mum who are no longer with us.

Hope to catch up with you again later.

Joyron it sounds like you had a perfect Mother's Day. Your sons obviously love and appreciate you. I think you may have infected me with the clearing out bug, but I hope there is a cure, it's exhausting.
Squiggle, I sign out whenever I leave the site, so I always have to sign in - sorry, that's no help to you.
Figtree, now that the snow has gone, my tulips and daffodils are showing signs of life. I planted some other bulbs which are growing nicely too - I wish I could remember what they are.
