Good afternoon everyone.  Hope you are all well today.

Yogi, glad the bed arrived early.  I hate waiting around all day for something to arrive.  At least it allowed you to get out to the shops to buy the bedding!!

I've had another busy day.  I'm still clearing up.  Sorry to say the whole sorry mess is due to start again this weekend because hubby is planning on starting in the utility room.  Unfortunately he won't be able to take anymore time off from work so the job will have to be done over a couple of weekends!!  I suppose I will get cleared up sometime.

Hope to catch up again later.  If not I will be here again sometime tomorrow.

Evening everyone.  Was going to say I'm sorry I have not been about today but then I notice that no one else has either, since Figtree early this morning.  I really do not know where the days are going at the moment.  I just don't seem to  have time to sit down and check out the posts!!

Not had a chance to see if the changes are good or bad so I will withhold judgment until I have time to see what's changed!!

Probably won't be back tonight but hopefully will catch up tomorrow, when perhaps you will be able to tell me if the changes are for the good or not!!

Hello Yogi.  I'm sorry I've missed you again (seems to be what happens on here, we are never here at the same time).

I keep telling myself that all this work will be of some benefit if we manage to sell our house.  Believe it or not I have got a great deal of satisfaction out of sorting out and cleaning everything up!!

Love to everyone

Good afternoon to all my lovely Freddie friends.  I hope you are all well.

Squiggle, I love that picture.  It just about sums up how I feel (exhausted).

Yogi and Figtree, I'll be round for some of your tomatoes when the time is right.  I've been quite successful growing them outside for the last few years, along with lots of pots of flowers, but I have decided to give gardening a complete miss this year.  I've got more than enough to do inside the house!!

Hope to catch up again later.

Growing tomatoes will be way down your list of priorities at the moment Joyron, you must be exhausted.

Hello Yogi.  Yes I am exhausted but at the same time it is very satisfying to see how nice things look after all your efforts.  The kitchen is beginning to look really nice now and I'm sure the utility room will be too in due course.  I didn't realise just how dirty everything was (what a sad thing to say).  My cupboards are looking clean and tidy, with everything lined up neatly, which is a good thing as most of the doors will be missing for a while until they have been resprayed.

Obviously we want to sell the house if we can but at this moment the idea of having some time with my lovely new kitchen doesn't seem that bad, and will be some compensation if we don't manage to get a buyer for a while!!

Hope to catch up again later.

Hi you all!
Yoyo...do not get a plasticy green house they are too fragile!Do get a glass one it will last much longer! I have got both. the glass one I have had for approx' 18yrs,the plasticy one I got last summer which has suffered a great deal of damage from the winds this winter, absolute waste of money! I am looking forward to growing toms a gain.I had a glut and so I put quite a few in the freezer which then are only suitable to put in soups and stews!I have still got a few carrots in the green house that I have grown in containers and also mixed salad leaves which has still survived despite the cold.I am going to grow new potatoes in bags again this year as they were reasonably successful.I saved a few and buried them in a bucket of dry compost so was able to have some during the winter months!Good luck!
Jojo well done... now can you come and do mine? Come on, you know you want to!

Hi there.Just popped in to make sure that you are all TB!Did not manage the morning as I was otherwise distracted. We all keep missing each other but I always read what you all have to say! It's good to have friends even if they are only'virtual'Even if you are really aliens I do not care! I lub U!
Generally speaking I am not too good at 'small talk' my interests are of a more serious nature which would not fit forum speak! I  would actually love to know of a forum that I could argue debate on more serious matters sometimes although I really enjoy being with you all too!
Yoyo you must convince your other half to get a glass green house, the primary school inthe next village got a plasticky green house last year and theirs suffered  the same damage as mine.Mine is virtually being held together by insulating tape at the moment! I also found that condensation was a bit of a problem too!You will have to let me know how you get on!
 for you all!

I have passed on your advice Figtree, and hubby has taken note. We had a glass greenhouse many years ago and grew tomatoes, cucumbers etc very successfully. Now, I just need to get hubby to progress from the "considering" stage to the "buying" one.

Glad to hear it Yoyo! The chicks are fine Yoyo still laying despite the 'orrible weather! They made me laugh at their hesitancy of coming outside when it was snowing.. like... 'not likely, I'm off back to bed' attitude! I have a cat and a dog, not sure how old the cat is it was up one of the trees crying one day so I coaxed it down.. a lovely tortie! tried to look for its owner to no avail... possibly dumped because we live down a country road nearest house is 15 mins away! Anyway that was 9 years a go.The dog we have had 7yrs.. a rescue one! You will go when I say that at one time we had 15 cats all of them belonged to someone else at one time and another... I could never say no!As I got each one...4 on one occasion I got them spayed so they did not reproduce... cost me an arm and leg over the years! Twinkle is my last surviving cat and I have learnt to say no because now I am ancient I do not want to leave an animal behind when I pop my cloggs!

Good morning everyone.
Figtree, you obviously have a kind heart when you have taken in so many stray cats over the years, and thank goodness there are people like you who are willing to take on dogs from rescue centres. Every time I go on the Dogs Trust website, I end up in tears, I want to adopt them all.
Your description of the chickens made me smile. It sounded a bit like me, every time I had to go out in the snow.
Joyron, I am sorry we keep missing each other, hope we catch up soon.
Squiggle, I know you will be here later so I'm leaving a hug for you.

Figgers and Yogi, reading back through your last few posts yesterday I felt I knew both of you a little better.  You both sound really lovely people and I wish we knew each other in R/L not just on here.  Wouldn't it be nice if we had a sort of cosy room that we could pop in and natter whenever we wanted.  Perhaps with tea and coffee. I love hearing about the chickens and other animals and also the tomatoes and greenhouses.  I am afraid I have been a very dull stick recently but I am 'going with the flow' because losing your lifelong 'other half' changes you beyond belief.  I don't bang on about my faith too much, so as not to annoy others, we all walk our own walk after all.  But it might be worth mentioning that I have been tremendously comforted recently by "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper, perhaps check it out on Amazon if you are interested. Anyway this is my thank you to two lovely ladies who I feel now are real friends not just virtual ones

Squiggle, thank you for your kind words.
You must not think of yourself as a dull stick. Considering your terrible loss, I think you have coped remarkably well, and do not under-estimate your contribution either. You have no idea how your little pics have lifted my spirits, on a daily basis.
I am glad your faith has been a comfort to you, and will check out the book you have recommended.
I love the cosy room idea, and I am so pleased that you consider me a friend.
