Hello everyone. The snow is still here and still pretty deep, but the roads are clear enough to drive on, with care. I managed to get to Morrisons today, so there's plenty of food in the house. Thank you all for caring.
Joyron, it sounds like the decorating is going well. I'm not surprised you are tired, you've had a busy week.

Afternoon everyone.  Hope this finds you all well.  Hubby's on his boat today (having some time off from the decorating) so I thought I would pop in for a chat.

Yes Justafriend we are hoping to put our house on the market after Easter.  It's such a big house and there are only two of us here now.  We even have a one bedroom self contained annex next door where my husband's parents used to live before they passed away so all in all it's much too big now.

Figtree, it's lovely to see you back.  Hope the computer is fixed properly and won't let you down again.

Yogi, I'm pleased to hear you have been able to get to the shops despite the amount of snow you are having to deal with.  Let's hope it all goes away soon and you can get back to normal!!

Squiggle, glad to hear you are managing okay.  Faith indeed is a really great comfort, especially when you need help in keeping going.  I always remember you in my prayers.

Will try and pop in again later if I can.  Love you all.

Hello everyone
Figtree, welcome back - you have been missed.
Squiggle, glad to report there has been no more snow today, although there is still a lot lying on the ground. The roads are pretty clear but the pavements are still knee-deep in snow. I hope your predicted storm doesn't materialise, I don't like storms.
Joyron, I hope you are taking things easy today whilst your hubby is relaxing on his boat.
Leaving for Justa and Darlo.

Figgers the car is in being fixed!  Yippee!  He even managed to get a brand new bumper, I think it had to come from Japan   Even then its not the end of the road, he is having it MOT'd and the insurance company will then cover me but I have to fill in a form that VOSA are sending me, pay a fee of ÂĢ41 and go to my nearest heavy goods vehicle examination centre to make sure its roadworthy and I think the nearest place is about 40 miles away.  I am keeping calm, it will be worth it to put all this behind me.  I have promised the little car a new set of car mats as we have both been through so much   Hope that's the end of your computer problems too now

Evening everyone.  Sorry I've not been about sooner but I've been cleaning and putting everything back in the cupboards that I emptied last weekend!!

Kitchen looks a treat now.  Just a pity that the cupboard doors will probably be missing for a few weeks!!  A colleague of my husband has given us a VERY good deal for respraying the cupboard doors but obviously that means we cannot dictate how long it takes for them to come back.  Still my cupboards have never looked tidier.

Hope you are all well today.  Yogi I bet you cannot wait for that snow to disappear.

I too feel very sorry for all those poor people across Europe who are suffering from the awful weather conditions last weekend.  Just a little further north and it would have been us.

Probably won't be back tonight but hope to catch up with you all again tomorrow.

Joyron
