I'm really pleased with the result.  Alex is a worthy winner.  Just wish he would keep away from KP, but then we cannot tell others who to choose to be with!!

Thanks darlo, it's nice to be back with you all.  I've had major computer problems lately so had been staying away hoping it would help but I still ended up having to buy a new one.  I loved CBB (well most of it) and didn't mind Alex winning but I was rooting for Dane.

Hi there Figgers glad your chooks are warm and safe   No car still not fixed, first firm didn't bother to get back to me, so on to the second firm now.  Hopefully should be better as this guy is a member of the same church (I didn't find out about him until I had already been to the first firm).  Thanks for asking, hope you are coping with the cold and also have your woolly combos on!!

Fig, your little chickens sound like they are cosier than me at the moment. Having a problem with the water pipes - I think they might be frozen so no heating at present, brrrrrrrrrrr. Son is trying to check things out for me but it is not looking good.

Nobody been in since my last post, you must all be busy today.
Glad to report, the problem with the pipes has been fixed, so I have water and heating again.

Morning one and all! Squiggs what a pain! however it sounds as if you may have found someone that will be of help to you! I really hope so!

Yoyo so glad that you have got your heating and water works fixed 'cos blimey it's freezing again at the moment!

Sorry I've not been in sooner.  Had a busy morning!!

Number one son met up with a group of old school friends that he has not seen for 15 years over the weekend.  He would not have done that six months ago, so thankfully another step forward on his recovery.

May not be back again today but will catch up again when I can. 

Joyron I am just loving hearing the progress your son is making, great stuff.

Glad to hear you say that Squiggle.  I get a little concerned that people might be bored with me ranting on!!

I'm so proud of how far number one son has come in the last 12 months.  This time last year my husband and I were concerned that he might take his own life, as he felt there was nothing left for him.  What a difference a year makes.

No need to be concerned Joyron. You have every right to be proud of your son and the positive changes he has made in his life. You must have be so worried about him when he was at his lowest, and it is only natural that you want to share your joy, now that he is doing so well.

Hi you all... blooming freezing here today! But the sun has now come out! Yaaaaaay!Will soon be spruting spuds and setting seeds.Yaaaaay all thoughts turn to the welcome sign of spring!   

Good morning Figtree, Squiggle and all my lovely Freddie friends.  Hope you are all doing okay.  It's bright but cold here today.  My daffodils are really showing in the ground now, a sure sign of spring (my favourite season).

I've just finished the enormous task of sorting and tidying my pantry.  What a mess!!  We are hoping to put our house on the market after Easter and after 19 years in the same place you can imagine the rubbish there is to get rid off.  Think I've done enough for today.  I'll start on another room next week.

Hi there Squiggs. Morning has broken like the first morning, blackbird has spoken............ praise for them springing fresh from the earth.

Snowed again.... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Hi you all hope you be all ticketty... not seen Jsta for a wee while ,is she busy? hehe!
Yaaay bought some spuds ready for chitting,courgette seeds, parsley and basil seeds.Have already got many others so it will be all systems go soon!
Remember if you don't have space in your garden you can grow veg in all manner of containers. My new spuds are going to go into bags to make more room for my main crop spuds! My carrots are going in buckets!
 Here endeth the gardening programme!

Hi Fig Gosh, you have been busy with your planting. I like to have fresh herbs for cooking, so I am going to plant some this year. I find it is good to do them in large planters, because some of them (like mint) can go a bit wild.

Hi everyone, yes fine thank you Yogi, so its all round to Figgers with our knives and forks come the Spring!!

Good afternoon to all my lovely Freddie friends.  My you all seem to be getting busy with the planting.  Hope you will have some spare veggies and herbs for me!!

I usually plant salad stuff, carrots and beetroot in containers but I won't be doing that this year as we are hoping to move and I will have more than enough to do over the coming months.
