Hello everyone, latest FB update from Freddie as I don't think he uses the other website anymore lol. just got back home after getting the wrong train from Cheltenham... got to Malvern (via Worcester) then back to Worcester, then to Birmingham, then to Telford - cab back home with two Stoke lads who'd made the same error, drove them to Stoke and then home again. 7.5 hours in total, but made it! Hope you are ok Squiggle
Thanks for the update DB, yes I'm OK (ish) thanks for asking.  Just what we would expect from the lovely Freddie, I hope BB do something with our lovely boy before the departure of BB from C4.  And I hope that some other channel takes it on who care about the show and us fans.

Evening one and all!Squiggs I meant to say earlier that I hope the car is well after your little skid! I have only been out once since Christmas but hoping to venture out to the next village tomorrow if the road is passable... fortunately I always make sure I have a large stock of provisions in the winter  so my freezer and store cupboards are still quite healthy although I have been abit short on the fresh veg and milk.... long life and dried milk at the moment..... still got plenty of cat,dog and chicken food which is a priority for me. Chickens are still laying eggs bless'em despite the weather which is brill' they didn't take kindly to the snow but I shoveled away as much as I could for them but they were not too keen on venturing out.If I knew it was going to be this cold I would have knitted them jumpers!
Hope you all have a great evening and that you all have toastie toes!

Aww just picturing figgers chickens in lickle jumpers .   Insurance company predictably writing lovely little car off (slightly dented bumper and sidelight plastic broken - sidelight still working!) huh! But I am advised that the way to go is to take the money, try and get the car fixed privately (have found a local firm specialising in Japanese cars and it looks like I can get the used parts if they struggle) then re-MOT it and get it back on the road.  I'm a bit daunted by it but determined not to give up on the car without a huge fight.

evening everyone.
sorry to hear about the car squiggs, hope you get that all sorted, my sister skidded in her car and smashed into railings but luckily she knows someone whos sorting it all out for her, she need a alloy wheel a tyre, and had to have something straightened underneath.
mum wont drive in snow at all.
also glad you are getting food in and hope you keeping all cosy and warm.
Fig make sure you look after yourself and be careful of the paths if you go out.

the snow seems to be melting here today and we have had sleet and not the snow they said we were going to get.

Evening everyone. Squiggle, keep fighting with your insurance company, it doesn't sound like the amount of damage to the car justifies writing it off.
Figtree, I am loving the idea of your chickens in jumpers. In fact, I have been thinking about taking up knitting again and chicken-sized jumpers might be good to start off with.
Justa, I don't blame your mum for not driving in the snow, it's a nightmare.
for everyone.

Ya beat me to it this morning Joyron

I'm glad you and your Mum are well Han, as for me, well its to be expected, my nephew put it very well yesterday in an email when he said I am walking through the valley, and I suppose I will be for some time but I am doing OK. Wonder whether we will get the snow predicted for today or not,

Hi you allI hopes you all be ticketty.... snow has disappeared leaving behind sludge but at least one can venture forth once more.
Squiggs don't give up on your car take it for some TLC at a body repair blokey wotsit and I am sure it will be all ticketty boo.... had a similiar prob' 3yrs ago and it was kissed better and still reasonably ticketty now.Insurance geezers know it is cheaper to write a car off than pay for it to be repaired.
Hi my Justa,Twee,Jojo,Yoyo and DB !I am not being overly 'cited by the HMs this year I feel it is a little too contrived for my liking.. BB being too manipulative perhaps. I reckon it will be Heidi and Katia that will be evicted. Almost too obvious really.Well at least I can remain mates with the Fredster team
Don't know about you but I cannot feel strongly enough to shout booooooooooo! at anyone! Now if Bea was to make an appearance it would still be a long loud booooooooooooo!
Have a good day!

Good afternoon to all my lovely Freddie friends.  Sorry I've not been on sooner.  I took a trip out to the shops in my own car, for the first time since the snow started.  Pleased to say I got okay.

It's been trying to snow on and off all day so far but fortunately it's not settling.  Don't want anymore snow for a long while!!

Like quite a few of you I just cannot get into this CBB.  It has a few rare moments of humour but mostly it's boring.  Won't be sorry when it's done and I don't say that often!!

Hope to catch up again later but often find it difficult to get on the computer once my husband gets home.  Love you all.
Joyron
Joyron and Justa, glad you both survived your trek in the snow. It sounds like it's still very slippy in your area. The roads are mostly clear up here but the pavements are like skating rinks. The local councils reckon they need all the salt supplies to keep the roads clear, so the pavements and carparks have been sidelined.
