Thanks for the good wishes, hun. I had to phone NHS24, as he got steadily worse today and his temperature went sky-high. We were referred to the hospital, where they diagnosed a bad infection. He managed to persuade the doctor to allow him to come home and has been given lots of antibiotics and painkillers to take. I`m sure he'll be fine as long as he does as he is told.

We missed you last night in the X Factor and IACGMOOH threads, Darlo.

Hello everyoneThank you all so much for your good wishes, I have passed them on to hubby - he says you are very kind. He is still feeling very unwell and has slept most of the day. I`m taking good care of him and I`m hoping I`m using up lots of calories with all the running up and down stairs.
Figtree, he says the nurses uniform would be wasted on him at the moment.

Evening everyone.  Squiggle, I try and make it a rule to get the cards done before 1st December comes round.  I've done it but left it a bit late this year.

Yogi  I'm sure with all your TLC your husband will start feeling better soon, at least I hope that is the case.  I will keep you both in my prayers.

Just come back from the doctors.  Went for a follow up to the 24 BP monitor check done a couple of weeks ago.  I'm told that my blood pressure is too high and the medication needs changing.  The doctor told me the pill I'm taking at present is out of date and not prescribed much anymore!!  He said he would change my medication to bring it, in his words, "into the 21st century".

Bearing in mind I've been checked every six months for so many years you would have thought someone would have decided to do this long ago.  It makes me wonder whether the other stuff I have to take is doing me any good!!

I haven't posted for a while but just dropped in to say hi.

Hello Fredsters Hubby is a little bit better today and has managed to eat a slice of toast. I think he may need another course of antibiotics but he will hopefully get some when he sees our GP tomorrow.
Joyron, it is good that your GP is up-dating your medication but I agree with you that it ought to have been picked up earlier.
Figtree, hubby says the NU has to wait until he has a little bit of energy.
Has anyone posted with Twee, I haven't seen her for ages?

Morning everyone.  Pouring with rain here.  I hope all my lovely Freddie friends are okay today.

Yogi,  no I have not got my smilies back.  I've clicked on the eye at the bottom but I don't know what to do when I get the screen up.  If you could leave me a note of what to do (in simple terms please as I'm in no way computer literate) then I will have a go at changing the settings (if that's what I'm supposed to do).

I hope your husband is feeling a little better today.  At least he should, hopefully, be better before the celebrations begin.

Figgers friends friends 4 evah!  I am sure all of us Freddsters will remain firm friends.  I used to be a Rachel's Angel and even though one of my fellow Angels supported the winner this year (forgotten her name already) and not Freddie we were still friends and agreed to disagree over our respective choices.  Be interesting to see which ones we support in CBB though.

Joyron, when you click on the little eye, there should be an icon which you can click to alter the settings. When you click on that, there is an option to change the status of websites to "safe/or trusted". I did that for Livecloud and hey presto my smilies were back.  Youngest son (and my computer expert) says you must be sure you trust the site before you unblock it, so don't do it if you aren't sure.

I agree with Squiggle, friends forever.
