hiya Fredsters   Hope you have all had a great day.  It's been rather nippy here in the Midlands but I got my washing dry.

DB, I watched the chefs in action haha.  What a lovely video.  Was that in Freddie's kitchen at the mansion?  Loved the blue Aga type cooker.

It seems like it's been cold all over today.  Fig, what are you getting up at 4.30am for?  I bet it was nippy around about that time this morning haha. Hiya to squiggs (the computer game queen and snazzy driver haha),  to Justa, Yogi, Joy (tis great to hear your lad is doing so well joy) and all the brill Freddie fans in this thread xx

hiya justa LTNS   I hope Squiggs avoids this cold thing.  When I have a tickly throat and can't sleep, I get some of those little Tic Tac sweets (the mint ones) and pop it in my mouth when I lie down and that eases my throat and allows me to sleep.  They are so small that there is little fear of choking on them if you fall asleep before you actually finish it.  I wish I could have told Squiggs this before she went offline tonight.

Anyway Justa, I hope you are well.  Any news re RAF?

I seem to have missed all the early-to-bed peeps tonight, and where is fig?  If she gets up at 4.30am, she must be well and truly tucked up for the night just now.

I am off now myself Justa.  Speak tomorrow.

Goodnite all Freddie fans

Hello to all my lovely Freddie friends.  Squiggle I hope you are feeling better today, and that you have not developed the "lurgy" as feared.

Figtree I hope the shopping went well.  I've not ventured out of the house for several days as the weather is rotten but I wll have to go out tomorrow, so I hope we get a better day then.  Speak later.   XXX

Hi!Evening all! Popped in to give the old thread a little tweak!Shopping done and dusted! Ahhhhhh!

Doing shopping OH staggers up with this gi-normous load of loo rolls, me said'we don't need that many' him.... bbbbbbut they're only 2.99 ! I  and said 'don't think so sonny Jim,not for that many!' so I took them back from whence they came and discovered that far from being 2.99 for that lot he had only picked up the unsplit load and it would be 2.99 for 1/5th of the gi-normous packet that he was about to load onto the trolly!hehe!
He's dead good in the kitchen too [cough] The other day I asked him to make 2 holes in a tin of evap' milk! Easy peasy! got on with what I was doing then I heard this loud tap, turned round and caught him trying to make 2 holes with.......... a hammer and chistle!

Hi, especially to joyron and figgers who enquired about the new car.  I went for a little drive and I am already getting used to it.  Sore throat, so far, seems to have gone, so that's good.  I can't post a pic I don't think, silly system but there we go, anyway its really in good nick and I hope will keep going for a couple of years.  I don't think I have mentioned yet that the features this car has got for its age is amazing.  Power steering, electric windows and mirrors and a sun roof.  Its a Mazda 323 GLX which was evidently top of the range when it was new.  What a lucky find, its bright red and gleaming.

hiya Freddie fans   Sqiggs, your car sounds really lovely and you have been lucky to get it.  And red too   It's also good to hear you are not badly affected by your cold.  You can do without that!

hiya DB, fig (the spendthrift), justa, joyron (runner-up spendthrift) and Yogi.  Hope you are all well.  It's very cold here in the Midlands today but I am all toasty in my little nest.

Finally, after three very stressful weeks, my decorating is coming to an end. The Shades Blinds man will be fitting my new vertical blinds tomorrow and (hopefully) my new suite will arrive in 10-12 days time (it will be five weeks late by then). Next time I say I`m going to decorate, somebody stop me!

hiya yogi.  It sounds like things are starting to come together for you.  You will have your new suite by Xmas I expect.  I bet your blinds will be worth waiting for.  Once you start decorating, you cannot stop.  One things leads to another.  I started in about May this year and I was still touching up with paint three months later.  I started one bedroom but ended up doing all three haha.

Anyway, I hope you are pleased with your blinds tomorrow.  What sort of suite have you had?

yogi, I bought my sofas off my son when he moved house and they are a lovely cream leather.  They came with a pouffe and it is one of those that opens up.  I keep my telephone directories in it and bits and pieces.  It's good for storing stuff but mine is hard to shift because there is so much in it haha.  They are great for putting your tray down on and also for putting your feet on.  My son paid a lot of money for them and he let me have them for a pittance.

Yours sound a far better idea - burgundy - so they won't need wiping so much but I would recommend those lanolin wipes - they have left my sofas and pouffe lovely and shiny.
