Thanks justa.  I hope I don't make a mess in the scan area haha.  I don't know why she told me this when she rang.  She was most specific to have a full bladder when I arrive at 1.30pm.

How are you justa?  Are you having a nice Sunday?

Freddie news is slow atm.  I wonder if he has been accepted as a candidate for the Tory party.  He is probably getting on with real life and we will hear his up to date news eventually.

DB .. thanks for directing me to the video, as I somehow missed it.  You must have posted it on the days when I wasn't online.  What a lovely lovely video.  I am so glad he has applied to be a candidate.  I don't really know what the procedure is with this but I suppose he has to be recommended by a Tory member or something like that.  It was interesting also that he was very up-beat about Kate.  Methinks young Freddie has got a love interest haha.

The thing I loved most about Freddie, and which this man obviously told him, is that he has the most infectious love of life and that in turn makes people who watch him very happy.  This is the effect he had on me.  I also noticed in that video how beautiful Freddie's skin is.  He does not have a blemish.  He looks so healthy and clean.

Thanks DB xx

Morning Squiggle and all my Freddie friends.  Hope you are all doing okay.

I'm feeling rather nervous this morning as at this very moment my oldest son is in theatre undergoing a gastric bypass operation.  He's had problems with his increasing weight for over 10 years now and the specialist said this was the best option for him.

He has just come out of what turned out to be a very unhappy marriage and we are hoping that if he manages to lose a lot of weight he may regain his self esteem and make a new life for himself.  Please keep him in your prayers today.  I won't know how things have gone until later on today.  XXX

I hope it all goes as planned joyron and that it leads to a happy future for him.  Look forward to hearing good news later.

Thank you all for your kind responses.  I've just heard from my husband and Paul is "alive and kicking" so to speak.  He has even started complaining, which is a very good sign.  Obviously it's early days yet but hopefully all will go well.  Thank you all once again.  It's been a VERY long day and I'm feeling rather emotional now, having held it all in all day (if you undertstand what I mean)!!!

hiya lovely Freddie fans   It is so lovely to read all your comments about me and how I got on with my scan.  Thank you for caring.   I am truly touched .. but not in the head I hope haha.

I drank the requisite litres of water and got to the Hospital about 1pm.  They called me in straight away and I had the scan, then I had to go to the toilet to wee all that liquid out (phew, whatta relief that was) and then he scanned me some more.  He said that the flushing from my right kidney was not so free-flowing as it should be and that it could be a kidney stone blocking the tubes (or words to that effect).  He couldn't see it though, so he asked me to go for an X-ray to see if that could detect a stone.  I had the X-ray straight away.  Of course, they won't tell you the results - they have to go to my GP for him to tell me the problem.  It might be a week before I know so I am no further forward with any diagnosis.  I have to say that the system at my little Hospital is great.  They were all so efficient, the place was absolutely spotless.  A lot of people diss the NHS but I think it's great actually.  Every time I have been involved with any sort of medical thing (which thankfully isn't very often) I have been amazed at the way it all goes and how caring the people are who I see.  It was the same when I was diagnosed with RA.  Blood tests told them I had RA but the waiting list to see a RA Consultant was six weeks hence, so I went private.  The Consultant I seen privately was, believe it or not, the head honcho for the County.  He was over the Consultant I was to see in 6 weeks!  The private consultation was on a Thursday and when he seen me, he said I needed to be treated straight away and was I available on the following Monday.  I said yes, and he booked me straight into his NHS surgery on the Monday, gave me steroid injections in both my hands and both my shoulders (I could hardly move with the RA at this time - it was vile).  And I have never looked back since.  So how lucky was I to book privately with the top man in his field and for him to be the chief NHS Rheumatoid specialist, and for him to fast-track me onto the NHS.  I feel I have been very well looked after.

Sorry about the long post, but I had to express the way I have been treated by the NHS in the past.

Joyron, I do hope your son's operation is a total success.  Anything that can improve quality of life is well worth it.  Let's hope your son can turn the corner and get his life back on track.  My son is a golden boy.  He helped me when I had to go for the injections in my hands and helped me in and out of his Jag (he's very rich lol).  But what I mean is, you are obviously worried about your son because you love him.  He is going to be ok.  But I can understand how you feel.  If it was my son I would worry just the same as you.

I better stop here as this is beginning to sound like a novel haha.  But thanks everyone for caring.

aw thanks DB.  I will let you know when I know myself.

justa, I haven't seen it because when they come over they come in his girlfriend's car because it has a baby seat fitted.  I have a picture of it and it's lovely.  I'm not into cars at all and don't know much about them but I know AMs are sleek motors.  I don't drive even.  If I had a car it would have to be a Morgan, I would want to jump the queue on the waiting list, and employ a chauffeur to drive me down the shops or to Asda or summat like that .. dream on Twee lol
