There are so many little hidey holes now that you have to have a search party to find anyone! although there are generally very few people on at any given time really.What a shame.Ah well! Same here justa!Its like starting down the same road but ending up in different tunnels some how! At least we can bump into each other occasionally! It is good to chat occasionally... It does get a bit lonely out in the sticks sometimes when it seems all work and no play!

justa, you have your own soulja boy now.  It's a shame he is having to go to Afghanistan, but that is Army life and they have to go where they are sent.  I read today that the Government are having to send 500 extra troops there because of some countries refusing to send their boys, or withdrawing them shortly.

fig, the last thing on my mind at present is Siavash.  What with him keeping a low profile and minding his own business and keeping out of the public eye, he needs to up his game if he wants to keep my interest, I tell ya.

As for 4" stilts, I used to wear them in the 60s.  Now I wear flats or small heels.  I would topple over in any higher than 2" heels now.  But they seem to have done the trick for justa

justa, that's not quite so bad if he is RAF.  He will be flying or maintaining planes, depending on his speciality.  It's the lads on the ground who are in more danger, but the danger zone is always up at the Pakistan border for airborne staff.  I do hope he will be ok.  I bet you wish he was in civvy street though.

Hate to say it twee but these days the RAF do ground duty too! Surprised me when I heard it on the tele the other day!

it would have been nice to get to know him, will see what happens when hes back i guess, if i hear from him then. i cant imagine what its like for them poor blokes being sent out there or how they must feel.

Believe it or not as long as I have lived this country has been at war with another country! It has only been on our doorstep during WW11  How fortunate are we...... but then this is not the place say say what I really think!

I know that some of the RAF now do ground work fig because most of the high-tech planes are American and they have their own specialists.  But engineers and technicians are always required and, hopefully, Justa's chap will be behind the lines.

I've been watching SCD instead of X Factor but last night I caught the last part of the show. I enjoyed Danyl's performance and thought the judges would love it so was shocked by some of their comments, I knew nothing about him.


I first heard that song a couple of Seasons ago when Rachel sang it, and I absolutely loved it. When I saw Rachel's audition - different song - I got chills and thought surely she'll be the winner. When the Live shows began nothing went right for her, the clothes they chose, the songs they chose, but worst of all the Press apparently had many stories about her private life and the public turned against her.


None of the judges want a winner that the public don't like as that won't sell records so she went. Listening to the judges last night after what I thought was a great performance of a great song I thought how similar the circumstances might be for Danyl to Rachel's unless something changes positively for him.

Nah darlo I will keep trying but it just don't seem the same, every time I come on I can't find any interesting buzzing topics, its really really slow moving and all the same threads stay on page 1 for days and days and days.

Morning Squiggle and all Freddie friends.  I agree with you Squiggle that the closeness seems to have gone from the forum.  There never seem to be two people here at the same time for a chat.  We just keep leaving little messages that get picked up later.  No banter back and forth.  Hopefully there will be a few more people about when Celebrity BB starts.

Still at least we are all still in contact.  perhaps somewhere else will come up some time.  If you do find anywhere good please don't leave me behind!!  XXX

Hi Fredsters ! Enjoy your evening!

This is a difficult week.  I am just trying to get through it.  I am preparing a bedroom for his brother and his wife who I am picking up from the station on Thursday.  The funeral is on Friday. We are calling it a celebration of his life, which I think is nice.  The thing is I don't want to keep going on and on about me.  Making a cake for said brother and wife tomorrow.  I went to tell the lady next door who lost her husband about 3 years ago and we were both standing there with tears streaming out of our eyes because we both feel the same.  She was with her husband for 57 years and they never had children and she feels the same as I do, we both just want to be with that one special person, nobody else will do.  So I haven't said much because what is there to say?  I will try to feel stronger as time goes on.  I still have to face moving house in the Spring so you are all going to have to be there for me then, don't even think of leaving this thread I will need you all.  Speak to you all tomorrow.

i really hope everything goes off ok on friday, and a celebration of his life is just wonderful. thinking of you squiggs

Morning to all my fabulous Freddie friends.  Squiggle, thank you for your message.  I'm sure things are very hard for you at the moment but you need never worry about talking to us about how you are coping.  We are all here to help and lend an ear.

I know what you mean about that "special" person being missing.  Having just spent the weekend away with my husband I would find it unbearable to cope without him.

I will, as always keep you in my thoughts and prayers, especially on Friday.  I'm sure the celebration of your dear husband's life is just the right thing to do.  I'm not that good with words but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.  Will speak later.  God bless  XXX
