Joyron I know how you feel but please please please continue to bump this lovely thread.  I do so whenever I am back from the hospital and in the morning before I go.  I am usually too tired to say much but I try to keep it up there.  People don't mean to neglect it but I suppose everyone thinks everyone else is bumping it

Hi figgers, no I'm afraid not.  Rather a backward step, he is back on the antibiotics and oxygen It would seem that this horrible infection is lurking in his throat and his cough is too weak to get rid of it.  Still at least they know more of what is occurring now and hopefully they will be able to get it shifted.  There was talk of a special machine to moisten it and help him to bring it up, don't know how that works but we are in the hands of the doctors (and of course the Lord, without His presence in our lives we would have been in the depths of despair by now).  Thank you for asking, hope all is well with you

Dear Squiggle I was sad to read your post above.  I really hope things start to improve for you both before too long.  I always keep you both in my prayers.

Sorry to hear that that Squiggle, keep the faith and remain positive things always seem to take a turn for the worst but they seem to get positive so hang in on there, and hope he improves.

Squiggle  I'm an early to bed person so you may pick this up later.  I really feel for you at this time.  I hope you have had a better visit with your husband today but it sounds as though it could be an uphill fight.  I just want you to know I WILL be there for you, thinking of you both and keeping you both in my prayers.  Things probably seem very bleak at the moment and it's great we have "someone" above to rely on.  Just thought you might like to know that someone else is thinking about you and sending prayers up for you BOTH.

Ravi and Fred are getting around a bit on their American trip.  The wonder of Freddie's voice when he sees something new makes me smile.  He is having a great time and it shows.

I love how they're keeping us all up to date, he's having lots of fun and he's interested in so many things.

DB, I don't think Freddie liked some of the exhibits though .. you could hear it in his voice.  I mean, what was that weird contraption towards the end?  It looked like something Damian Hirst would rustle up haha.  I think Freddie liked that painting .. the one they panned the camera up and down on .. you know the bit painting I mean lol.  I think Freddie likes the Old Masters myself and is not into modern stuff.  I am sure he did History of Art at Oxford.

He didn't look impressed with some of it lol, but did like some stuff also so was a mixed reaction really. I read he did Media, Psychology and Politics at Oxford Uni. He did post on the website it's took ages for the videos to post due to some YT thing.

It was a mixed bag art-wise DB.  I remember him saying once in the house that he did History of Art, but that may have been at his private school before University.  I also remember hearing him say that he loved Art generally.  I bet he knows his Goya's from his Van Gogh's though .. lol.   I think most of the great art in America is displayed in Washington, they have a lot of beautiful works both from European artists and from American artists like Edward Hopper, Jackson Pollock and Andy Warhol. 

Where in America is he based?  Or is he travelling all over?

I don't know much about Art, I was dreadful at school can't draw to save my life and I hate doing it.

Boston TS, but they're doing a road trip thing so travelling over the place.

Thanks DB.  I wasn't sure where they were based but Boston is on the East Coast so he must have travelled to NY. 

I don't know much about art myself because I never done it at school, but I love watching art programmes on tv and I've picked up quite a bit about it along the way.  I would love to have studied it as a subject, but I went to a Commercial College.  Like you, I cannot draw a circle properly but I've come to love some of the great art just by looking at it on tv, and in books.
