I'm OK, sort of on automatic pilot, robotlike.  They have finally taken my OH off the antibiotics.  Said antibiotics have of course done horrible things to his tummy (anyone who has been on strong antibiotics for even a week will know what I mean, and he has been on for 2 and a half).  Now we have to sort out the PEG thing to feed him through his tummy and try to get him walking again.  Simples!  I shall put a sad little face in here because I made a big effort a page or so back to put a little sparkly thing in and nobody noticed   But seriously thank you all for your concern, I do appreciate it and hope to keep reporting with better news.

, so not good news then at the moment hope he starts to make a recovery and gets better soon

Got to get up early tomorrow for college so see you all tomorrow

I really hope it all gets better soon. I've missed completely what's happened but I've picked up bits here and there and I'll be thinking of you both.

It bothered me about the length of time that Mr. Squiggs was on antibiotics because they can cause havoc with the good bacteria in the intestines which can lead to very bad gastro upsets!This happened to my OH a while back.He landed in hospital and was there for a week but took a further month to right itself! Let us hope that Mr. Squiggs will soon be on the path to better health. BTW  So glad you are still popping in to have a little chat!

Hi Mary, hope you are settling back in to being online again.  You must have missed it so much.  I also hope your move went well for you and you are settled into your new home.

It's great to see so many familiar faces still posting in this thread.  It's getting better and easier to use every day now, this LC place.  But I still miss the old forum at times.

DS, thank you for posting that latest video.  Sand and shower gel mixed .. who would have thought of it as an exfoliator?  Perhaps he should ring Mario and Lisa and recommend it to them

Freddie gets joy from the simplest of things.  That is what makes him so lovely.  These videos are great to watch, so keep posting them for us xxx

Hi TSI know, was surprised when it went into the liquid after it was all mixed up then when he washed his hands he said it felt all smooth.

As for the videos Freddie is posting them everyday on the website, think it's nice of him to keep his fans updated and I enjoy watching and posting for all to see.


Ha Ha can't wait to get started with the work actually I know tomorrow will be fun with whats on my induction timetable for this week, so it doesn't actually start for me until next week.

It's great that you have started back to College DB.  I know you were so looking forward to going back.  Holidays are all very well, but you wouldn't want to be at home all day because you would most likely become bored and fed up.  I hope you enjoy your Course.  You did really well in your exams too.  No education is ever wasted, and you will be with your own peer group and enjoying things and learning things together.  Are you intending to go to University eventually?

I love learning new things and it's given me the confidence to socialise more as I do struggle with that kind of thing, so good i'm meeting new people and i'm working hard to boost my qualifications for when I start applying for jobs in the future. No I don't intend on going to Uni but I know some of my mates from school are and I wish them best of luck it's not for me although I do want to try and find a part time job whilst studying.


I love the videos always checking to see when the next is added, yes Freddie is such a nice guy and I like listening to his intelligent thoughts.

Evening all

It's the way things are today, we all tend to stay inside more than we used to.  All our hobbies are mostly indoors and the need to go out and mix is not so important.  But at College, you will meet your own age group.  My grandson went to College last year and met lots of new friends.  He is very quiet and reserved but they brought him out of himself.  He is 18 in November, but has decided to drop out of College this year and look for a job.  But they are not easy to find nowadays.  He has applied for an apprenticeship through Connections, and we all keep our fingers crossed for him.  He wants to be a Games Designer, so his apprenticeship will be in that field.  The qualifications you will gain this year and next will look good on your cv, so keep positive about an eventual job.  You have already done really well in your exams on your other Course, so they will look good on your cv as well.  No education is ever wasted DB.

If you keep looking you will find a part time job.  My grandson is also looking for a little job to boost his income.  There isn't a lot about, but you have to keep trying.  Good luck xx

He is not academically bright but very articulate, and he is very much into gaming so, hopefully, he will find his niche.  Nothing is guaranteed though and he will have to go looking for other jobs while he is waiting for a possible apprenticeship. No one can be too choosy these days, can they?  

You have the right attitude tho, keep your head down, keep adding qualifications to your cv and you will have plenty to offer a future employer.

It's what he thinks that matters the most, if he's happy then he shouldn't worry about anyone else theres always time to improve on things I had to do that. Best that he has some serious thought about it all then.

Aah thanks, I like to think I have and so far it's been a success and i'm going to keep on going.

Fredsters, the more I get around on here the bigger it gets!  I guess I'm just overly nosey but those Blogs are addictive to read, I tells ya!  I promise myself I'll pop in for 20 minutes or so before going off to do something useful in RL (hahaha...don't make me laugh!)......2 hours later I'm absorbed in something and don't even know where I am!
