It was brilliant, provided no one took it too seriously. This year it is no different. Just put your crash hats on before entering any anti-Freddie thread from now on. And don't enter threads late at night if you have had a few drinks either. I have seen some awful rows late at night. That's why I go to bed early ... lol.

Haha yup, I remember last year, my first ever year on the forum, being a Rex supporter it was madness. The amount of time I spent defending him was ridiculous Laugh

I think it'll be a little bit different this year though as we're all quite a close knit community now, but there's still going to be some blood shed sometimes Laugh

Hi Twee! Fank you most kindly. They are really starting to put the boot in with Freddie now (in here not in the house), but we know he is the best HM by far Thumbs Up Clapping

squig, I am one of those on the forum who has two favourites - Siavash and Freddie - so I have to fight on two fronts lol. Nevertheless, I am up to the job and I will never surrender! I will attack and counter-attack and counter-counter-counter attack when I feel it necessary Laugh

Freddie is getting it in the neck big style this morning. But, hey ho, who cares. Our boy is still top with Siavash close by. I am happy with that. Keep up the smilies. Forwards and upwards ....

Big Grin

I so agree Twee I am just so grateful to Marcus and Siavash that they have been there for him. Marcus especially I have to say because occasionally Siavash disappoints when he doesn't put Freddie in the picture (about Bea for instance) but I am glad he has them both. True friends. The women in there have been so ODD this year.

I'm glad he's got those two as well, I think I'd love to have Marcus as a friend, because I know he'd just be there for you, not necessarily in a loud way but you would just know...if that makes sense?

And I agree about the women. All of them have been dire apart from maybe Sophie.

It's lovely to see the lads all together again squig. They are the only true friends imo. Marcus is as steady as a rock, a true friend to Freddie. Freddie comforted Marcus when Marcus was really very low last weekend. Siavash has only ever said one bad thing about Fred, so I'm going to forgive him for that oversight lol. It's the women who have the potential to cause problems with these lads. Bea will be so busy stirring that she will leave Freddie alone but I think he knows what she is like already. She needs to go to bed early and leave the lads to chat on their own. She does tend to stick her nose into the boy chats too much.

OMG Mary, it was bloody last year. I was a big Rex fans and I also supported Mo ... bloodbath it certainly was. Yes, this forum is much nicer and not quite so nasty as the other one. Less people make for better debates.

I'll never forget how frustrated he was when he'd just had that chat with Bea about Marcus and he was practically crying with frustration over it.

I'm still pissed at her about that, who does she think she is? Swanning in there and declaring her ridiculous opinions after a week, whilst the others have been in there through thick and thin for months? ARGH THAT WOMAN!!! Mad

Ahah wasn't it just? I remember one of my first posts being challenged to say 10 funny things Rex had done/said and I don't think they expected me to do it but I spent ages (I think we were about only 2 weeks in) compiling this list and I felt very smug at the end of it Laugh especially when they didn't reply to me.

It is quite exciting going into HM battle though, and nice coming out the other side at the end with everyone just going back to being friends.

I honestly don't think she's even slightly nice, no 'nice' person slags off someone behind their back, accusing them of being sleazy and then snuggles up to them the next minute. No 'nice' person slags off someone, then makes a t shirt for them because they want them to stay in just so they can realllly rub it in the other person's face. No 'nice' person constantly goes on about people's classes and social backgrounds and assumes that they've never done a day's hard graft in their life so therefore isn't getting any of their money when they themselves can't hold down a job...

but I forgive you Wink

I see Bea as being like Lisa, but in only one way. People can see them as being safe to ignore but they are not. They are both very very dangerous HM's. Lisa is keeping a low profile because her support system has been ripped away (mostly by Freddie bless his heart) and who would have thought he stood a chance at one point? Eeker Bea is serious bad news. Freddie IS too trusting and he is so nice that I am frightened he won't trust his instincts about her and will let her lead him down the garden path away from his own natural peaceful instincts. If Bea is nominated (which she might very well be as Lisa for one hates her guts and we all know whoever Lisa hates she can get others to vote for) then she should go, for the sake of the house in general and Freddie in particular. I know she is a very entertaining HM but also a very dangerous one IMHO.

Yeah, as much as I cannot stand her, she has brought a lot to the house in the way of storylines and excitement, but you're totally right about her being dangerous. I'd much rather see her go than Lisa. Everyone in there is wise to Lisa whereas hardly anyone is to Bea and it's worrying what impact she could have on Freddie.

Earlier this afternoon unlikely pals Halfwit and Charlie had a long heart-to-heart about how to deal with negativity in the House. Now Halfwit's been recounting this to Marcus during some Living-Area mantalk.

"It's like [Charlie's] scared of negative situations, and that, ironically enough, aggravates the thing," Halfwit said in his wise-old-sage voice. Marcus looked like he was asleep, but made some helpful noises of agreement.

"He's a good soul, that guy," continued Halfwit. "But I think he's also scared of appearing to be anything other than completely nice."

Marcus had a different take on it. "The best thing to do with regard to Charlie is to go out of your way to remove negative things from his path," he said confidently. "So much stuff goes over his head. He is what he is, and we can see things before he can see them, so it's down to us to make sure he has fun. He's here just to have fun, not to pick people's brains. Not in a bad way, but he is a completely one-dimensional character in here."

And this, coming from Marcus.

At this point Bea, who earlier told Marcus, Dogface and Rodrigo that she doesn't want to spend so much time with Halfwit, wandered through the Living Area to the Garden and announced that she was going for a smoke with Siavash. "OK," said Halfwit meekly, looking a bit sad not to be invited. There was a long pause as he looked forlornly into space, rubbing his beard.

"Oh God, I'm in a bit of a weird psychological place," he said finally with a stroke of his beard.
"Do tell," replied Marcus with his eyes shut.
"I want to get to know people a lot better but I'm not quite sure how to proceed with that. I feel a lot of emotion in my body today," began Halfwit, but as Charlie appeared to join the chat, Halfwit said no more about his inner angst.

Could Halfwit be picking up on the "stayaway" signals from his beloved Bea? Or is his brain actually melting after 59 days of philosophising?

You see if we are right and she is targetting Freddie she can only go so far. She might get him nominated (which I doubt) but the voting public then take over. Her power is limited.

True, and then in turn she'll be completely disliked so it'll all back fire on her in the end.

The only characteristic that Bea shares with Freddie is their intelligence. But Bea has an extra to her intelligence, she is cunning as well. In no way do I think that Bea has the power or intelligence to bring Freddie down. She is aware of Freddie's popularity outside the house and she wont mess with him, just because she knows it will be a waste of time. But I do agree with squigg, she is dangerous. She is more dangerous than Lisa, simply because she is much cleverer than Lisa, and much more cunning. Her attachment to Marcus is very measured and planned but I can't work out why she has been championing him like she has.

Maybe she is aware of Marcus love/hate popularity outside, she knows Marcus is her link to Freddie but most importantly Siavash who are the most popular outside. Marcus also dislikes Lisa but them two have been getting on recently so she might want to re-ignite their feud because she can't stand Lisa.

I think Marcus was her 'beating Noirin over the head' tool. Can't see it lasting, interesting to see where she points herself next.

Totally agree.... dangerous indeed! Shake Head
She might be trying to split Siavash,Freddie and Marcus thereby weakening their friendship/alliance. A whisper here, a whisper there can do untold damage if it done in [the best possible way] Bea is very much capable of that!I am keeping my beady eye on her! Ninja

Unfortunately for her own agenda 15:10 she is nobody's friend in there.

I agree and there's no way she will ever win, let alone beaWink be in the top 3. Big Grin
