Most of the time they did not understand each other.
Charlie was talking over Freddie and not listening (you can`t argue if you don`t listen.)
Then when he did hear a few words he totally misunderstood or gave them a whole new meaning.
That argument would never be resolved.
They were arguing about different things.

Freddie says he got the bad vibes from Sophie (something Sophie said), but Charlie immediately translates that as Charlie slagging Sophie off. What nonsense. Then like Chinese Whispers Charlie passes it on wrongly to Sophie and so it goes on....
Just because Charlie does not listen or understand in the first place.

Charlie argues like a spoilt child - just don`t let the other person get a word in.

Charlie should never argue with Freddie. Freddie is logical and concise in argument, he keeps calm (most of the time) and he is totally in control of his thought processes. Charlie is a red-faced silly stupid shouty little boy who pitted himself against a prospective MP, an educated boy who can use words as weapons to sting, a clinical logical thinker who never loses sight of the centre of the argument and who always manages to cut through the crap, moving stealthily towards the jugular.

Charlie should never argue with an educated boy.

Charlie stepped into a conversation that had nohing to do with him and accused Freddie of blaming Sophie which he didn't do.

Everything that happened after that was planned by Charlie as he's had it in for Freddie all day.

Im not saying Charlie was right , im just pointing out that if anything is said against Freddie your going to get attacked and questioned by FMs

I thought charlie and freddie were terrible on highlights

One couldnt get his point across

and the other made no sense

I did have to laugh though at freddie saying he didnt talk about gameplans or did any bitching it was observation and debate
