I know, she looks like she might snap
My boyfriend keeps remarking on actresses who seem to be shrinking away. I don't usually notice it a lot but he's been saying it about soap actresses and how it seems to be in the 'in' thing :S They are already thin to begin with and now getting thinner. I despair.
I quite liked Frasier back in the day, however her so called "Mancunian" accent did grate a bit..talk about dumbed down for the American audience .
i still watch frasier everynight
ive always wanted to be 'told off' by daphne
that niles is a good actor-considering he's gay-he's bloody convincing that he loves daphne-i couldnt watch her in anything else-shatter my illusions etc.. lol
(and dont mention benny hill)
lol-i know what you mean
Haven't seen any recent pics of Daphne but have always loved the Frasier show and all the cast. So well and intelligently written, one of a very few tv shows that will stand the test of time no matter how many years they show it
I didn't recognise her in it for ages....the 'new' accent totally threw me But she's very good in it. I love Frasier...still watch all the re-runs
Did you see the other woman in it was in Frasier too, she played Ronnie, the woman who married Marty Krane in one of the last episodes?
This is the original Daphne who did'nt make onto our screens after telly the producer she did'nt think the opening joke was funny....

Thats her on the left, you can't really see how thin she is cos of the cardi/jacket thing but her legs are really thin there
Is that her real accent? Just it doesn't sound 'real' if you know what I mean?

You can hear her real accent on this.
Thanks for that Blizzie, much more natural sounding... I thought her accent seemed a bit put on and 'affected' on the show
she looks TOTALLY different. I'm glad she got a 'lead' in a show, she was brilliant in Frasier
